Super Eight (hockey)
The MIAA Division 1A Boy's Ice Hockey Tournament, commonly referred to as the Super Eight, is an annual boy's high school ice hockey tournament held by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) to determine the top boys' team in the state. The tournament's future is in jeopardy. The Tournament Management Committee voted to not accept any Division 1A tournament proposals until at least the 2025–26 academic year. If the MIAA Board of Directors votes to side with the TMC, then no Division 1A boy's ice hockey tournament would be held until 2026 at the earliest. The Ice Hockey Committee will appeal the decision. History The Super Eight is a double-elimination tournament that has determined the high school state champion since the inaugural 1991 tournament. The tournament features 10 teams. TD Garden
TD Garden is a multi-purpose arena in Boston, Massachusetts. It is named after its sponsor, TD Bank, a subsidiary of the Toronto-Dominion Bank of Toronto, Ontario. It opened in 1995 as a replacement for the original Boston Garden and has been known as FleetCenter, and TD Banknorth Garden. The arena is located directly above the MBTA's North Station. It is the most visited sports and entertainment arena in New England, as nearly 3.5 million people visit the arena each year. Archbishop Williams High School
Archbishop Williams High School is a co-educational Catholic school in Braintree, Massachusetts, United States. It was founded in 1949 by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Archbishop Williams' school seal, originally that of the founding order of nuns, is the pelican, which was an early Christian symbol of Jesus. The school's motto is ''Caritas Christi Urget Nos'', or "The Love of Christ Drives Us On." Blue and gold are the school's colors. The school is named after John Joseph Williams, the first Archbishop of Boston. Archbishop Williams High School was dedicated on September 12, 1949, by Cardinal Richard Cushing.
