''Super Discount 2'' is the third solo album by French DJ and producer Étienne de Crécy. It was released in 2004 through Disques Solid. The album is a sequel to de Crécy's influential 1996 album ''Super Discount''. Each track title is the name of a peer to peer file sharing protocol, some of which are no longer operating. Production credits are also given to other major French house producers. On "Poisoned" de Crécy is joined by Philippe Zdar AKA Cassius. On "Fast Track" Alex Gopher and Julien Delfaud are credited. Gopher also co-produced "Overnet". Étienne De Crécy
Étienne Bernard Marie de Crécy (, born 25 February 1969, Lyon, France), also known as Superdiscount, EDC, Minos Pour Main Basse and Mooloodjee, is a French DJ and producer who composes electronic music, primarily house. Biography Crécy was born in Lyon, but moved to Versailles from Marseille in the mid-1980s, attending the same Jules Ferry college as Air and Alex Gopher, with whom he later created the Solid label. He then worked in Paris as a sound engineer at studio +XXX ("plus thirty") where he met Philippe Zdar of Cassius, with whom he worked as Motorbass for the album ''Pansoul'', a preview of what would be his first solo album, ''Super Discount'', released in 1996, with Air, Alex Gopher and other French artists on Solid. ''Tempovision'' is the second studio album by French DJ and producer Étienne de Crécy, released on 23 October 2000 through Disques Solid and V2 Records. It includes the singles "Am I Wrong", "Scratched" and "Tempovision", which had 3D computer-animated videos made for them by de Crécy's brother, Geoffroy de Crécy. "Am I Wrong" and "Scratched" charted at numbers 44 and 80 on the UK Singles Chart, respectively. Critical reception Dean Carlson of AllMusic wrote that "Squiggling past looping divas, afternoon glares, and funkadelic body bops, De Crecy manages to manufacture a trail of songs that reach for that Anglo-French brass ring with nothing but admirable gravitas". ''Super Discount 3'' is the fourth studio album by French DJ and producer Étienne de Crécy, released on 16 January 2015 through Pixadelic, A+lso and Sony Music. The album is the third in de Crécy's '' Super Discount'' series and follows 2004's '' Super Discount 2''. The album includes collaborations with Madeline Follin of Cults, Pos & Dave, Alex Gopher, Tom Burke, Julien Delfaud, Kilo Kish and Baxter Dury. Background ''Super Discount 3'' marks the first time de Crécy has worked with singers, and combines samples and synthesizers, which Crécy used separately on '' Super Discount'' (1996) and '' Super Discount 2'' (2004) respectively. Alex Gopher
Alexis Latrobe (), known professionally as Alex Gopher, is a French mastering engineer, electronic musician and producer. He worked as a sound engineer at Translab Studio, notably for Angèle, Clara Luciani, Lomepal, -M-, Mr. Oizo, Gesaffelstein and Etienne Daho. Latrobe has contributed a great amount to the French touch movement of the 1990s. Career Latrobe began his musical career playing bass in the band Orange with future Air members Jean-Benoît Dunckel and Nicolas Godin. After the group split, he began to create electronic music and embarked on a successful solo career. Latrobe's musical style mainly consists of sampling, along with recruiting vocal talent.
