Electronica
Electronica is both a broad group of electronic-based music styles intended for listening rather than strictly for dancing and a music scene that started in the early 1990s in the United Kingdom. In the United States, the term is mostly used to refer to electronic music generally. History Early 1990s: origins and UK scene The original wide-spread use of the term "electronica" derives from the influential English experimental techno label New Electronica, which was one of the leading forces of the early 1990s introducing and supporting dance-based electronic music oriented towards home listening rather than dance-floor play, although the word "electronica" had already begun to be associated with synthesizer generated music as early as 1983, when a "UK Electronica Festival" was first held. At that time electronica became known as "electronic listening music", also becoming more or less synonymous to ambient techno and intelligent techno, and was considered distinct from other em ...

Jamie Lidell
Jamie Alexander Lidderdale (born 18 September 1973, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England), known professionally as Jamie Lidell, is an English musician, soul singer and podcast host living in Nashville, Tennessee. Lidell was formerly a part of Super Collider. Career Lidell is known for layering tracks made with his voice into a microphone and performing the percussion and melody as a sequenced, beatboxing one-man band. Then over his augmented voices, he sings soul-inspired songs. This exercise makes for energetic live performances. Lidell has become renowned for his diverse range of genre-exploration. Following the release of his 2008 album, ''Jim'', Lidell commented, I want it to be about music, I think every musician does. But I think inevitably it ends up becoming about personality, which is what gives rise to the music, so people want to make sure that they get a bit of both. The more things do well, the more people want to know why it does well. His song "Multiply" was u ...

Head On (Super Collider Album)
''Head On'' is the debut album by English-based electronic duo Super Collider, consisting of producers Christian Vogel and Jamie Lidell. It was released in May 1999 by Loaded Records. The collaboration emerged in 1998 when the two producers began sharing the same studio in Brighton and soon began creating music together. Their initial work together produced the songs "Under My Nose" and "Darn (Cold Way O' Lovin')", both included on the album, but believing them to be too stylistically orthodox, the duo pursued a more distinctive sound for the remaining material. Taking influence from funk music, in particular the music of Sly Stone, ''Head On'' is an experimental techno record that combines Vogel's abstract production with the funk influences and Lidell's soulful but effects-heavy singing. Co-produced by the duo, the album received acclaim from music critics, who drew attention to its influences and production. "It Won't Be Long" and "Take Me Home" were issued together as a doub ...
