Super Bowl LI was an American football game played at NRG Stadium in Houston, Houston, Texas, on February 5, 2017, to determine the champion of the National Football League (NFL) for the 2016 NFL season, 2016 season. The American Football Conference (AFC) champion 2016 New England Patriots season, New England Patriots defeated the National Football Conference (NFC) champion 2016 Atlanta Falcons season, Atlanta Falcons, 34–28. Super Bowl LI featured the List of largest comebacks in NFL games, largest comeback in Super Bowl history, with the Patriots overcoming a 28–3 deficit to emerge victorious. Carl Cheffers
Carl Cheffers (born July 22, 1960) is an American football official in the National Football League (NFL) since the 2000 NFL season, who wears uniform number 51. Personal life Cheffers and his wife Nanette have a son and a daughter. Cheffers's father also was a football official and worked in the Pacific-10 Conference (Pac-10). Officiating career As a college student, Cheffers became interested in officiating through his father, and decided to work intramural sports to make additional income. Enjoying the experience of student sports, he sought assistance from his father to officiate high school football games to begin a career. James Lofton
James David Lofton (born July 5, 1956) is an American former professional football player and coach. He is a former coach for the San Diego Chargers but is best known for his years in the National Football League as a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers (1978–1986), Los Angeles Raiders (1987–1988), the Buffalo Bills (1989–1992), Los Angeles Rams (1993) and Philadelphia Eagles (1993). He was also the NCAA champion in the long jump in 1978 while attending Stanford University. Boomer Esiason
Norman Julius "Boomer" Esiason (; born April 17, 1961) is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons, primarily with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was selected in the second round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the Bengals, where he spent 10 non-consecutive seasons. Esiason was also a member of the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals. During his playing career, Esiason was named to four Pro Bowls and one first-team All-Pro selection.
