Super3 Series
The Super3 Series (formerly the Kumho Tyres Super3 Series, Kumho Tyres Australian V8 Touring Car Series and V8 Touring Car National Series) is an Australian motor racing competition for touring cars. In 2019 it became the official third tier series for Supercars competitors, while the series itself remains independently owned and managed from Supercars. The cars must be deregistered cars from official Supercar teams and series, this is mainly as a preventive measure against a team building a brand new car to suit the regulations. The series is currently known by the commercial identity of the Dunlop Super3 Series. Touring Car Racing
Touring car racing is a motorsport road racing competition with heavily modified road-going cars. It has both similarities to and significant differences from stock car racing, which is popular in the United States. While the cars do not move as fast as those in Formula racing, formula or sports car racing, sports car races, their similarity both to one another and to fans' own vehicles makes for entertaining, well-supported racing. The lesser use of aerodynamics means following cars have a much easier time passing than in open-wheel racing, and the more substantial bodies of the cars makes the subtle bumping and nudging for overtaking much more acceptable as part of racing. As well as short "sprint" races, many touring car series include one or more Endurance racing (motorsport), endurance races, which last anything from 3 to 24 hours and are a test of reliability and pit crews as much as car, driver speed, and consistency. 2011 Kumho V8 Touring Car Series
The 2011 Kumho V8 Touring Car Series was an Australian motor racing series for V8 Touring Cars, which are de-registered and superseded former V8 Supercars. Although the series utilised cars built for V8 Supercar racing, it was not an official V8 Supercar series. It was the fourth running of the V8 Touring Car National Series. The series took place on the program of Shannons Nationals Motor Racing Championships events. It began at Wakefield Park on 1 April and finished at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit on 6 November after five meetings held in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Terry Wyhoon, driving a Ford Falcon, won the series by 72 points, having won ten of the fifteen races and two of the five rounds. Scott Loadsman finished second, 117 points ahead of Chris Smerdon who led the series after four rounds but was disqualified from Sandown for eligibility problems. Eggleston Motorsport
Eggleston Motorsport is an Australian motor racing team which is currently competing in the Dunlop Super2 Series, Dunlop Super3 Series and the Australian GT Championship. The team's current Super2 drivers are Matt McLean and Jack Sipp, with Jack Perkins, Tim Blanchard and Tony D'Alberto stepping in for guest appearances. EMS was born out of Eggleston Motorsport & Service Centre. The motorsport division is now the primary driver for the operation. EMS has been a key competitor in the Dunlop Series since 2010. The Ford Falcon (BF) is a full-size car that was produced by Ford Australia from 2005 to 2008. It was the third and final iteration of the sixth generation of the Falcon. Shae Davies
Shae Davies (born 8 March 1990) is an Australian professional racing driver. A Super2 Series veteran, Davies briefly drove for Erebus Motorsport during the 2016 V8 Supercars season. He currently competes in the S5000 Australian Drivers' Championship and Tasman Series. Davies began competing outside of Australia in 2019 after sponsorship issues prevented him from continuing the Supercars developmental ladder. In 2019, he raced for Belgian Audi Club Team WRT in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe. He returned to Australia in 2020 to compete in the Boost Mobile Super Trucks.
