Sunshine Coast Stingrays
The Sunshine Coast Stingrays is an Australian rugby union football team that represents Queensland's Sunshine Coast region. The Stingrays played in the Queensland Premier Rugby competition from 2005 to 2013, but now focus on competing in the Queensland Country Championships. The Stingrays played in the Grand Final in their sixth season in the Premier Rugby competition in 2010. However, after facing funding difficulties in 2013, the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union decided not to compete in the 2014 season. The Queensland Rugby Union, or QRU, is the Sports governing body, governing body for the sport of rugby union within the state of Queensland in Australia. It is a member and founding union of Rugby Australia. The QRU was founded in Brisbane in 1883 as the ''Northern Rugby Union'', after breaking away from the Queensland Football Association before being formally constituted in 1893 when the name was changed to the Queensland Rugby Football Union. The earliest known Rugby football matches were played in Brisbane from 1876 through to 1878. Rugby struggled to gain a foothold until it got its break in 1882 with the first inter-colonial matches against New South Wales, and the formation of the Northern Rugby Union. Caleb Ralph
Caleb Stan Ralph (born 10 September 1977 in Rotorua) is a New Zealand rugby union footballer. Ralph began his first-class career with Bay of Plenty, then moved to Auckland before heading to Canterbury. He started his Super Rugby career with the Chiefs in 1997, Blues (1998–99), Crusaders (2000–08) and a cameo role with the Queensland Reds (2011). He made his All Black debut while playing for Auckland in 1998. Morgan Turinui (born 5 January 1982 in Sydney) is an Australian rugby union footballer who currently is a rugby commentator for Stan Sport and Channel Nine in Australia. Early life Turinui was educated at the Sydney school of Waverley College. In 2000, Turinui captained the Australia Schoolboys, having been the vice-captain of the side in the previous year. Turinui went on to represent the Australia under-21 team in 2002 and play for the Australian Sevens side in Hong Kong and Beijing. Toutai Kefu (born 8 April 1974) is a Tonga-born rugby coach, who earned 60 caps playing at number eight for the Australian national team (the Wallabies). Hercus is the USA Eagles' all-time leading scorer with 465 points, and is the leading scorer for the U.S. in Rugby World Cups with 77 points.
