''Sunshine'' (Swedish: ''Solkatten'') is a 1948 Swedish drama film directed by Gösta Werner and starring Annalisa Ericson, Nils Ericsson and Georg Funkquist.Qvist & Von Bagh p.58 It was shot at the Imagoateljéerna Studios in the Stockholm suburb of Stocksund. The film's sets were designed by the art director Nils Nilsson. Synopsis Monica Granström sets out to find who amongst four possible men is her real father. Gösta Werner
Gösta Werner (May 15, 1908 – July 20, 2009) was a Swedish film director. He was married to Kaj Björkdahl. He primarily made his mark on European cinema during the 1940s. During the 1970s, Werner was first associate professor at Stockholm University, and then later Professor of Cinematography. He was born in Östra Wemmenhög, Skåne, Sweden. Werner turned 101 years old on May 15, 2009. Werner died in Stockholm on July 20, 2009. He was, at the time of his death, the world's oldest film director. He was seven months older than his successor, film director Manoel de Oliveira of Portugal. Hugo Björne
Hugo Björne (4 February 1886 – 14 February 1966) was a Swedish film and theater actor. Biography Ernst Hugo Alexis Björne was born in Varberg in Halland, Sweden. He made his stage debut in 1907 and belonged to the acting company of Hjalmar Selander until 1911 when he moved to the theater company of Einar Fröberg where he worked until 1914. Björne was involved at Svenska Teatern in Stockholm (1914–1925), at Vasateatern (1925–1926), at Oscarsteatern (1926–1932) and later at Vasateatern under the direction of Gösta Ekman (1932–1936). After 1946, he became committed to the Dramaten. He made his film acting debut in 1913, starring in silent movies. Later, Björne would be better known as a supporting actor. He was quite productive, participating in more than 130 films where he often portrayed rather anonymous characters such as judges, professors and doctors. Hilda Borgström
Hilda Teresia Borgström (13 October 1871 – 2 January 1953) was a Swedish stage and film actress. Biography Born in 1871 in Stockholm, Borgström made her film debut in 1912. She starred in leading parts in Victor Sjöström's silent films ''Ingeborg Holm'' (aka ''Margaret Day'') (1913) and '' Körkarlen'' (aka ''The Phantom Carriage/The Stroke of Midnight/Thy Soul Shall Bear Witness'') in 1921. Borgström started out to be a dancer and trained at the old Royal Theatre's ballet school in Stockholm 1880–1887. Later she decided to turn to the theatre instead and studied drama. Naima Wifstrand
Naima Wifstrand (; 4 September 1890 – 23 October 1968) was a Swedish film actress, operetta singer, troubadour, director and composer. In her later years, she was cast in several supporting roles in Ingmar Bergman films. Biography Born Siri Naima Matilda Wifstrand in Stockholm in 1890, she was raised by her mother in Fleminggatan. Wifstrand never trained acting but learned the art thoroughly when she in 1905 joined the Anna Lundberg Theatre Company, a well reputed and respected theatre company in Sweden at the time. She travelled with them for a number of years, appearing in small parts and in extra parts. This eventually led her to small parts at theatres in Helsinki and around Stockholm. Jan Göran Gustaf Harald Molander (2 April 1920 – 30 June 2009) was a Swedish people, Swedish actor and film director who had a decades-long dominant career in his country's film and television industry. A native of Stockholm, Jan Molander was the son of actor/director Gustaf Molander and Elsa Fahlberg and the half-brother of director and producer Harald Molander from his father's first marriage to actress Karin Molander. From 1942 to 1945 he was a pupil at the Royal Dramatic Training Academy and made his film debut playing a student in 1944's critically acclaimed ''Hets'' (''Torment (1944 film), Torment''), directed by Alf Sjöberg and written by the film's assistant director Ingmar Bergman.
