Wild River State Park
Wild River State Park is a state park of Minnesota, United States, curving along of the St. Croix River (Wisconsin-Minnesota), St. Croix River. This long, narrow park is shaped somewhat like a sideways 'S', with development largely concentrated in the lower third. The remote upper sections flank the mouth of a tributary called the Sunrise River. The park is managed to provide quieter, more nature-oriented recreation as a counterpoint to the busier William O'Brien State Park, William O'Brien and Interstate Park, Interstate State Parks downstream. North Branch, Minnesota
North Branch is a city in Chisago County, Minnesota, United States, at the junction of Interstate 35 and Minnesota State Highway 95. The population was 10,125 at the 2010 census. It is named for the north branch of the Sunrise River, which flows through the city. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , of which, is land and is water. History North Branch became a township in 1861, and incorporated in 1881. In 1901 North Branch split into a village covering the more densely populated downtown area and a township covering the rest of the former village. The township later incorporated as the village of Branch in 1961. The two cities talked about a potential merger for years, beginning in the late 1970s. Almelund is an unincorporated community in Amador Township, Chisago County, Minnesota, United States. The community is located east of North Branch at the junction of State Highway 95 ( MN 95) and Chisago County Road 12 (Park Trail).
