Sunrise (Warriors)
''Sunrise'' is the sixth and final book in Erin Hunter's '' Warriors: Power of Three'' children's fantasy novel series. HarperCollins published it on 21 April 2009. The plot follows Jayfeather, Hollyleaf, and Lionblaze on their quest to find Ashfur's true murderer. It was originally to be titled "Cruel Season", though this was changed because HarperCollins, the series' publisher, felt it was too dark a name. Plot summary ''Sunrise'' begins with Leafpool repeating a long-used ritual to send Ashfur to StarClan. During the process, she discovers a tuft of fur in Ashfur's claws, and she knows whose it is, although she does not say. ThunderClan discusses Ashfur's murder, and many think that a WindClan cat killed him since he was found on the WindClan border. To find out, Firestar sends a patrol to WindClan, but Onestar denies the possibility. Erin Hunter
Erin Hunter is a collective pseudonym used by the authors Victoria Holmes, Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, Clarissa Hutton, Inbali Iserles, Tui T. Sutherland, and Rosie Best in the writing of several juvenile fantasy novel series, which focus on animals and their adventures. Notable works include the ''Warriors (novel series), Warriors'', ''Seekers (novel series), Seekers'', ''Survivors (novel series), Survivors'', ''Bravelands'', and ''Bamboo Kingdom'' book series. Wayne McLoughlin
Wayne McLoughlin (1944–2015) was a Welsh artist who dedicated his drawings to nature. He was most known for his cover art in Erin Hunter's ''Warriors'' and ''Seekers'' series. McLoughlin began as a young explorer in Hampstead Heath, London, and later, in the swamps of northern Florida. Fascinated by nature, he often recorded his experiences in sketches and paintings. McLoughlin served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War before studying both Fine Art and Anthropology at San Diego State University. He first worked on creating illustrated humor parodies for national magazines, including '' Esquire'', '' Omni'', ''Yankee'', and '' National Lampoon''. An omen (also called ''portent'') is a phenomenon that is believed to foretell the future, often signifying the advent of change. ''Long Shadows'' is a children's fantasy novel, the fifth book in Erin Hunter's '' Warriors: Power of Three'', and was widely released on 25 November 2008. The book follows the adventures of Hollyleaf, Lionblaze, and Jayfeather. The book has sold over 250,000 copies. Plot summary When Sol persuades almost all of ShadowClan to give up belief in StarClan, Tawnypelt takes her kits to ThunderClan, hoping to find refuge there, because she did not want to be part of a Clan that does not believe in StarClan. In hope of helping ShadowClan, Jaypaw, along with his siblings and Tawnypelt's kits, create a fake sign from StarClan to show Blackstar that StarClan is real. Blackstar is not convinced until the fake sign turns real when StarClan cats Raggedstar and Runningnose appear, and tell Blackstar to get rid of Sol.
