Sunnyside Farm
''Sunnyside Farm'' is the title of a 1997 BBC comedy television series. The basic plot was that brothers Ray and Ken Sunnyside inherited the failing Sunnyside Farm. Ray, played by Phil Daniels, is a truly repulsive individual, and intends to get his brother committed to a mental institution so he can sell the farm and blow the proceeds on the high life; Ken (Mark Addy), while not the sharpest pencil in the box at least has a few redeeming characteristics. Other notable actors to appear in the series were Matt Lucas and Michael Kitchen. Sunnyside (Woodbine, Maryland)
Sunnyside or Sunnyside Farms is a historic slave plantation home located in Woodbine, Maryland, Woodbine, Howard County, Maryland, Howard County, Maryland. Sunnyside began as a log cabin built in 1800 by Capt. Banjamin Warfield of Cherry Grove, HO-1, Cherry Grove's son Joshua Warfield. In 1830, Albert Gallatin Warfield expanded the home, and a second expansion was completed in 1890 by his son Joshua Warfield. Albert Warfield was known for generously freeing his slaves at the age of 40, albeit at a time when life expectancy was shorter. His son Joshua Warfield operated a title company, and imported food waste for composting fertilizer for soil. The house later passed to Norman Hutton Warfield (1889 - 1955) who worked for the Federal Land Trust. The last Warfield heir to own the estate was the assistant states attorney for Howard County, Albert Gassaway Warfield III (-1983) who worked for Pierce, Fenner and Smith Inc. Sunnyside Farm is a historic home and farm located near Hamilton, Loudoun County, Virginia. The original section of the house was built about 1815, and is a two-story, three-bay, vernacular Federal style dwelling. There are several frame additions built from c. 1855–1860 up through the 20th century.
