Sunderland 'Til I Die
''Sunderland 'Til I Die'' is a sports documentary series. Produced by Fulwell 73 (named as a homage to Sunderland A.F.C. by its founders), the series documents the events around English football club Sunderland A.F.C. Released on 14 December 2018, the first series documents Sunderland's 2017–18 season which saw the club playing in the EFL Championship having been relegated from the Premier League the season prior. As a result of the first series success a second series was produced documenting the following season in 2018-19, which coincided with the club's first season under the ownership of Stewart Donald; this was released on 1 April 2020. A third and final series is scheduled to be released in the near future documenting the club's promotion to the EFL Championship in 2022. Overall the show has received positive reviews from critics and fans. Fly on the wall is a style of documentary-making used in film and television production. The name derived from the idea that events are seen candidly, as a fly on a wall might see them. In the purest form of fly-on-the-wall documentary-making, the camera crew works as unobtrusively as possible; however, it is also common for participants to be interviewed, often by an off-camera voice. Decades before structured reality shows became popular, the BBC had broadcast fly-on-the-wall film ''Royal Family'' (a 1969 documentary produced in association with ITV), while 1974's '' The Family'', is said to be the earliest example of a reality TV docusoap on the BBC. Roker Report is an online fanzine, blog and accompanying series of podcasts and livestreams related to English football club Sunderland and the club's women's team. Roker Report has interviewed many high-profile former players and celebrities and gained significant attention among Sunderland fans during 2018 when Stewart Donald and Charlie Methven gave exclusive interviews to the podcast team after buying the club. Roker Report has performed an annual charity drive since 2019, and has raised over £120,000 for local charities. Fanzine Roker Report was formed in December 2010 by Simon Walsh and was sold to Vox Media In 2011. A new management and editorial group formed in 2016 with the aim of improving the quality and quantity of the site's content. A substantial recruitment phase took place in the years that followed. 2022 EFL League One Play-off Final
The 2022 EFL League One play-off Final was an association football match between Sunderland and Wycombe Wanderers on 21 May 2022 at Wembley Stadium, London. It was to determine the third and final team to gain promotion from EFL League One, the third tier of English football, to the EFL Championship. The top two teams of 2021–22 EFL League One, Wigan Athletic and Rotherham United, gained automatic promotion to the Championship, while the clubs placed from third to sixth place in the table took part in the 2022 English Football League play-offs. The winners of the play-off semi-finals competed for the final place for the 2022–23 season in the Championship. The ''i'' is a British national morning paper published in London by Daily Mail and General Trust and distributed across the United Kingdom.
