Sundaresh Menon
Sundaresh Menon (born 26 February 1962) is a Singaporean lawyer and jurist who has been serving as the fourth chief justice of Singapore since 2012, appointed by President Tony Tan. Education Sundaresh graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1986 with a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours degree. He subsequently went on to complete a Master of Laws degree at Harvard Law School in 1991... Career Sundaresh started his career at Shook Lin & Bok as a legal assistant in 1987, and became a partner in 1990. In 1992, together with Wong Meng Meng and Alvin Yeo, Sundaresh co-founded WongPartnership, one of the four largest law firms in Singapore, and remained a partner in the law firm until 1995. The title of Senior Counsel or State Counsel (post-nominal letters: SC) is given to a senior lawyer in some countries that were formerly part of the British Empire. "Senior Counsel" is used in current or former Commonwealth countries or jurisdictions that have chosen to change the title "King's Counsel" to a name without monarchical connotations, usually related to the British monarch that is no longer head of state, such that reference to the King is no longer appropriate. Alvin Yeo
Alvin Yeo Khirn Hai (; 28 March 1962 – 30 July 2022) was a Singaporean lawyer and politician. Education Yeo obtained his LLB from King's College London. Career Politics Yeo was a member of the People's Action Party. He served as Member of Parliament for Hong Kah GRC from 2006 to 2011, and for Chua Chu Kang GRC from 2011 to 2015. At the 2015 general elections, he retired from politics, with Yee Chia Hsing succeeding in his seat. Legal Yeo was called to the bar in 1988.
