''Sundarakanda'' is a 1992 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao and produced by K. V. V. Satyanarayana under Saudhamini Creations. The film stars Venkatesh, Meena and Aparna playing the lead roles, with original soundtrack by M. M. Keeravani. The film was a remake of the Tamil film ''Sundara Kandam''. The film was described as a "Super Hit" at the box office. Plot Venkateswarlu arrives in the town and gets appointed as a Telugu lecturer in the junior college where he completed his education. He is fooled by the students headed by a brilliant but mischievous student Roja. Venteswarulu is irritated by her indiscipline and finds fault for whatever she does. But this does not stop Roja from playing pranks on him. Kovelamudi Raghavendra Rao (born 23 May 1942) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema besides having directed a few Hindi films. He has garnered four state Nandi Awards and five Filmfare Awards South. In a film career spanning more than four decades, Rao has directed more than a hundred feature films across multiple genres such as romantic comedy, fantasy, melodrama, action thriller, biographical and romance films. The Nandi Awards are the awards that recognise the excellence in Telugu cinema, Telugu theatre and Telugu television, and Lifetime achievements in Indian cinema. Veturi Sundararama Murthy (29 January 1936 – 22 May 2010), known mononymously by his surname Veturi, was an Indian poet, lyricist and journalist who is popular for writing Telugu songs.
