In 1969, Robert Redford purchased at the base of Mount Timpanogos in Utah's Wasatch Mountains. He named this land Sundance (after his character in the 1969 film ''Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid''). Bayou Place is a 130,000 square foot entertainment complex that houses multiple theaters, bars, and restaurants located in Downtown Houston, Texas, United States. The complex was the former Albert Thomas convention center located in the Houston Theater District at 500 Texas Street (originally built in the late 1960s). The convention center was made obsolete with the opening in 1987 of the much larger George R. Brown Convention Center on the eastern edge of downtown. AMC Kabuki 8 is a movie theater in the Japan Center complex in San Francisco's Japantown neighborhood. History Kabuki Theater originally opened in 1960 as a large dinner theater. The theater was the first multiplex in San Francisco. As part of the original Japan Center mission to showcase Japanese culture, it was the first authentic Kabuki theater in America, designed in a traditional 17th century style with a proscenium, stage entrance/exit ramp, revolving stage, and trap doors.
