''Sunbeam'' is the fifth studio album of the girl group The Emotions issued in April 1978 on Columbia Records. The album rose to No. 12 on the Billboard Top Soul Albums chart and No. 40 on the Billboard 200 chart. ''Sunbeam'' has also been certified Gold in the US by the RIAA. Critical reception John Storm Roberts of '' High Fidelity'' stated ""Sunbeam" sparkles with good tracks." Craig Lytle of Allmusic gave a 3 out of 5 stars rating and found that "As White's signature can be detected throughout most of the compositions, he is humble enough to leave room for the Emotions to flourish vocally." Marlo Henderson was an American guitarist and saxophonist, who played in mainly blues and R&B genres. As a session musician he played on albums such as '' Off the Wall'' by Michael Jackson, '' Them Changes'' by Buddy Miles, '' Face to Face'' by Evelyn "Champagne" King, ''I Am''. He also played on the "Girlfriend" song by Paul McCartney. Verdine White
Verdine Adams White (born July 25, 1951) is an American musician, best known as a founding member and bassist for the band Earth, Wind & Fire. White was placed at No. 19 on Rolling Stone's list of The 50 Greatest Bassists of All Time. Early life Verdine was born Verdine Adams, Jr. in Chicago, Illinois, on July 25, 1951. His father, Verdine Sr., was a doctor who also played the saxophone. He grew up listening to recordings of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and other jazz musicians. Gary Grainger (born 20 October 1950) is an English rock, blues, jazz and pop songwriter and guitarist, most known for his work with Rod Stewart. Career 1970–1999 Gary Grainger's professional career took off with the formation of Strider. After two albums – ''Misunderstood'' and ''Exposed'' and two extensive tours with The Faces in 1974, Grainger got his big break with Rod Stewart in 1976. The formation of the Rod Stewart group, including Jim Cregan, Phil Chen, Carmine Appice and Billy Peek, saw Grainger write key songs for the albums ''Foot Loose & Fancy Free'', ''Blondes Have More Fun'', and ''Foolish Behaviour''. Eumir Deodato de Almeida (; born 22 June 1942) is a Brazilian pianist, composer, arranger and record producer, primarily in jazz but who has been known for his eclectic melding of genres, such as pop, rock, disco, rhythm and blues, classical, Latin and bossa nova.
