Sumvitg (; german: Somvix) is a municipality in the Surselva Region in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. History Sumvitg is first mentioned in 1175 as ''in Summovico''. Geography Sumvitg has an area, , of . Of this area, 24.8% is used for agricultural purposes, while 26.8% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 1.3% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (47.1%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains). Before 2017, the municipality was located in the Disentis sub-district of the Surselva district, after 2017 it was part of the Surselva Region. It covers both sides of the Vorderrhein valley and the ''Val Sumvitg''. It consists of the village of Sumvitg and the hamlets of Surrein, Rabius, Laus and Compadials as well as numerous farm houses. Disentis/Mustér
Disentis (German) or Mustér (, Romansh), with its official name Disentis/Mustér is a village and a municipality in the Surselva Region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. The skiing and summer tourism resort high up in the Rhine valley is the site of one of the oldest Benedictine monasteries in Switzerland. The monastery dates back to 720, its huge actual complex dates from 1696 to 1712. History Disentis is first mentioned in 765 as ''Desertina''. In 1127 it was mentioned as ''monasterium Dissertinensis''. The name Disentis is supposed to come from Latin Desertina, used for the deserted valley in late antique times, while the Romansh name Mustér refers to the monastery. Lag Da Laus
Lag da Laus (Romansh) is a small lake within the municipality of Sumvitg in the Grisons, Switzerland. There is no real tributary to the lake and the outflow will disappear in the underground after some distance as the area consists of landslide debris. The area of the landslide can easily be spotted from the Disentis direction. Several hiking paths or mountain bike routes lead to the area. Some people swim on hot summer days although water temperature is less than 17 degrees Celsius. In the bottom of the valley a multi day hike leads along the river Rhine

Rabius
Rabius is the largest village in the municipality of Sumvitg, Graubünden, Switzerland.
