Sumon (musician)
Saidus Salehin Khaled Sumon (born 8 January 1973), popularly known by his nickname Bassbaba Sumon, is a Bangladeshi rock singer-songwriter, bass player, composer, music producer and founder of the Bangladeshi rock band Aurthohin. He is the band leader and spokesperson of Aurthohin since the beginning. Sumon was born and raised in Dhaka. He started learning bass by himself at the age of 14. He first auditioned for rock band Feelings in 1990 at the age of 16 and joined the band that year. He had played in 11 bands by the age of 19. In 1996, he joined Warfaze and later appeared in the band's 1998 hit album " অসামাজিক (''Antisocial'')" and left the band. In 1997, his first solo album "সুমন ও অর্থহীন (''Sumon and Aurthohin'')" got released while he was in Warfaze. Later, after leaving Warfaze, he formed Aurthohin. RockNation
RockNation is a series of rock and metal festivals organized in Bangladesh, regularly starring eminent rock and metal bands of the nation. The first RockNation event was held on at Winter Garden, Hotel Ruposhi Bangla, Dhaka on April 12, 2013. Six more RockNation events have taken place since then, including one in Sylhet. History 2013 The first RockNation concert was held on April 12, 2013, and it starred the talents of Warfaze, Cryptic Fate, Arbovirus, Nemesis, Shunno, Band Lalon, Chirkutt and Jon. Artcell
Artcell is a Bangladeshi progressive metal band formed in October 1999 by vocalist and riff guitarist George Lincoln D'Costa, lead guitarist Ershad Zaman, bassist Saef Al Nazi Cézanne and drummer Kazi Sazzadul Asheqeen Shaju. The first song the band composed was ‘'' অন্য সময় (Other Time)''’. The song set the standard for all the songs yet to come along the way. The first song released by Artcell was ‘Odekha Shorgo’ which was recorded for the great Azam Khan for a mixed album he was planning on. But later it was released on a mixed album called Charpotro'''. The song ‘''Onnoshomoy''’ was written by Rumman Ahmed and ‘''Odekha Shorgo''’ by Rupok. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Since the mid-1950s, the bass guitar has largely replaced the double bass in popular music. Steve Harris (musician)
Stephen Percy Harris (born 12 March 1956) is an English musician who is the bassist, keyboardist, backing vocalist, primary songwriter and founder/leader of heavy metal music, heavy metal band Iron Maiden. He has been the band's only constant member since their inception in 1975 and, along with guitarist Dave Murray (musician), Dave Murray, the only member to appear on every album. Harris has a recognisable and popular style of bass playing, particularly the "gallop" which can be found on many Iron Maiden recordings, such as the singles "Run to the Hills" and "The Trooper". In addition to his role as the band's bass player, writer and backing vocalist, he has undertaken many other roles for the group, such as producing and co-producing their albums, directing and editing their live videos and performing studio keyboards and synthesisers. Bob Franceschini
Bob Franceschini (born 1961) is an American jazz saxophonist and instrumentalist, songwriter, and arranger. He has appeared on more than eighty albums including those of Mike Stern, Paul Simon, and Willie Colón. Franceschini grew up in Manhattan and started playing music at a young age, he began playing professionally as early as 17-18 with Tito Puente and now tours worldwide with the Mike Stern Band, Willie Colón, Dennis Chambers and the Victor Wooten Trio, as well as many others. When not touring, Franceschini is a faculty member at Victor Wooten's Camp For Music and Nature and co-hosts an annual saxophone retreat with Bob Reynolds and Bob Hemenger called the Inside:Outside Retreat for Saxophonists.
