''Summerdelics'' is the fourteenth studio album by Japanese pop rock band Glay, released on July 12, 2017. It was released in three versions: the regular edition with the album, a special edition with the album and two live DVDs, and another special edition with the album, four live albums and three blue rays. It sold over 53,000 copies within less than a week, debuting at #1 both at the Oricon weekly charts and the ''Billboard Japan'' Top Albums Sales, staying in the former for 5 weeks and in the latter for 9. In the end of the year, it reached #51 at the ''Billboard Japan'' Top Albums Sales Year End 2017 and #58 at Oricon's. Several songs of the album were used way ahead of its release date in anime, TV series and sports events. "Deathtopia" was released as a single on August 3, 2016, and both the song and its b-side "Chou Onsoku Desutini" (which is also the album's fourth track) were used as the opening themes of the anime ''Kuromukuro''. ''Music Life'' is the thirteenth studio album by Japanese pop rock band Glay, released on November 5, 2014. It reached #2 at the Oricon weekly charts, #5 at their monthly chart for November, and #58 at their 2014 Year-End Chart, besides reaching #4 at the '' Billboard Japan'' Top Albums chart. The album was released in three different editions: one regular edition with the 11 new tracks, and two special editions, each coming with a second CD (Ballads Best☆Melodies or Ballads Best☆Memories) containing previously released ballads by the band. The track list of both compilations was decided by fans by voting. The cover art of the album was inspired by The Beatles' '' Revolver'', and it was indeed designed by Klaus Voormann, ''Revolver'''s art cover artist. No Democracy
''No Democracy'' is the fifteenth studio album by Japanese pop rock band Glay, released on 2 October 2019. The album's details were announced on 17 August 2019 and it references the new Reiwa era of Japan established with the ascension of Naruhito to the Chrysanthemum Throne, replacing his father Akihito and ending the Heisei era. According to guitarist and leader Takuro, the title alludes to the fact that democracy is yet to be established around the world due to issues such as war and religious conflicts. The album's bonus material includes live footage of their Glay Live Tour 2019 -Survival- tour which revisited their sixth album ''Heavy Gauge''. It reached #2 at both the ''Billboard Japan'' Hot Albums chart and the Oricon weekly charts, staying on the latter for 17 weeks. In the end of the year, it reached #79 at the ''Billboard Japan'' Year End Top Albums Sales and #87 at Oricon's. Jiro (musician)
, better known by his stage name JIRO, is a Japanese musician best known as the bassist of the rock band Glay. He is also the bassist in the sideband The Predators. Biography History Jiro grew up the only son out of four children, his father a carpenter. Jiro used to be a guitarist in his first bands, and only picked up the bass when he joined the indie band "Pierrot" in Hakodate (different from the well-known band of the same name). Jiro first became familiar with Takuro and the rest of GLAY as they attended another high school in the same town, and were mutually involved in the local indie scene. In 1992, Pierrot moved to Tokyo to expand their career, but disbanded shortly after. He states that during this time he owned nothing other than what he had carried in his backpack when traveling from Hakodate, and had walked part of the journey to save money. Teru (singer)
, better known by his stage name TERU, is a Japanese musician and singer best known as vocalist of the rock band Glay, for which he was initially the drummer. Biography History He also founded the side-band rally, with Hisashi (Glay), Kouji Ueno (The Hiatus and ex-Thee Michelle Gun Elephant) and Motokatsu Miyagami (The Mad Capsule Markets). The band recorded the song "Aku no Hana" for ''Parade -Respective Tracks of Buck-Tick-'', a tribute album to Buck-Tick. They've played in festivals. Besides singing, Teru is also an artist. , better known by his stage name TAKURO, is a Japanese musician and lyricist best known as one of the guitarists and leader of the rock band Glay, for which he is also the main composer and lyricist. As a musician and composer, Takuro has worked with different artists and has also released solo works. Takuro and his older sister were raised by a single mother, as she never remarried after his father's death, when Takuro was three years old. He considers his mother an early influence in his musical career, as he was strongly impressed by her singing. He is particularly associated with the brand Tokai, designing a series of personal signature guitars, based on their Talbo model. Biography History Hisashi was born in Hirosaki, Aomori, the second of two sons; his father was a surgeon. His family moved north to Hakodate, Hokkaido, by the time he began secondary school. As an adolescent and young teen, Hisashi took an interest in post-punk and metal bands, particularly influenced by Boøwy and X Japan. He states that when he first asked his parents for a guitar, it was given in confidence as it was the first thing he had truly wanted. Hokkaido Railway Company
The is one of the constituent companies of the Japan Railways Group (JR Group), and is often referred to using its official abbreviation of . It operates intercity and local rail services in Hokkaido, Japan. The company introduced Kitaca, a smart card ticketing system, in autumn 2008.
