Summer And Sinners
''Summer and Sinners'' (Swedish: ''Sommar och syndare'') is a 1960 Swedish comedy film directed by Arne Mattsson and starring Karl-Arne Holmsten, Elsa Prawitz and Yvonne Lombard. The film's sets were designed by the art director Bibi Lindström. It was shot in Eastmancolor. The film received a very poor reception, and even some of its own cast members were publicly critical. This marked a turning point in the previously high regard in which Mattsson's films were received.Björklund & Larsson p.63 Cast * Karl-Arne Holmsten as Emil Horneberg * Elsa Prawitz as Helga Krus * Olof Thunberg as Ove Högsbo * Yvonne Lombard as Heidi Horneberg * Gio Petré as Liselotte Högsbo * Yngve Gamlin as Prof. Cornelius * Lena Granhagen as Mrs. Zitter * Nils Hallberg as Åke Johansson * Sture Lagerwall as Sven Molmagen * Dirch Passer Dirch Hartvig Passer (18 May 1926 – 3 September 1980) was a celebrated Danish actor. Arne Mattsson
Arne Mattsson (2 December 1919 – 28 June 1995) was a Swedish film director. Biography Born in Uppsala, the early films of Mattsson were mostly comedies. His biggest success was '' Hon dansade en sommar'' (1951, aka. ''One Summer of Happiness''), which earned him the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival and a nomination for the Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 1952. It caused some controversy at the time because it contained nudity. His 1953 film of Peder Sjögren's second novel, ''Bread of Love'' (''Kärlekens bröd''), based on Sjögren's experiences as a volunteer in the Finnish Continuation War of 1941–44 angered the author, was banned in Finland and incurred the wrath of the Soviets at the Cannes Film Festival. In spite of all this, Sjögren grudgingly admitted that as a study of men under severe pressure it was impressive. In 1958 he directed '' Damen i svart'', the first in the series of five '' Hillman-thrillers'', centred on Folke Mellvi ...

Films Directed By Arne Mattsson
A film also called a movie, motion picture, moving picture, picture, photoplay or (slang) flick is a work of visual art that simulates experiences and otherwise communicates ideas, stories, perceptions, feelings, beauty, or atmosphere through the use of moving images. These images are generally accompanied by sound and, more rarely, other sensory stimulations. The word "cinema", short for cinematography, is often used to refer to filmmaking and the film industry, and to the art form that is the result of it. Recording and transmission of film The moving images of a film are created by photographing actual scenes with a motion-picture camera, by photographing drawings or miniature models using traditional animation techniques, by means of CGI and computer animation, or by a combination of some or all of these techniques, and other visual effects. Before the introduction of digital production, series of still images were recorded on a strip of chemically sensitiz ...

He was greatly renowned for his improvisational skills and, with a filmography comprising 90 movies, one of Denmark's most prolific actors. Life When he was young, Passer was very shy, but had an ambition to become an actor. Instead, he conformed to his father's wishes by attending the J. Lauritzen sea training school near Svendborg in 1944. But since he had persistent problems with seasickness, he later attended the drama school ''De frederiksbergske teatres Elevskole''. During the 1950s he formed a duo with his colleague and friend Kjeld Petersen. Their revue sketches, based upon the contrast between Petersen's mixture of joviality and desperate anger and Passer's deadpan responses, are still considered classics by the public.
