The Sumathi Best Television Announcer Award is presented annually in Sri Lanka by the Sumathi Group of Campany associated with many commercial brands for the best Sri Lankan news announcer of the year in television screen. The award was first given in 2002, under the title best announcer. In 2009, the award was separated for two as Best Announcer and Best Presenter. TNL TV
TNL TV is an English and Sinhala-language television station in Sri Lanka, owned by Telshan Network. Launched in 1993, TNL TV was one of Sri Lanka's first privately owned television channels. Shan Wickremesinghe, the chairman of Telshan Network, is the brother of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. The first television broadcast dedicated for teledramas, ''CTV'' began telecast from February 1, 2008 from 10 am to 1 pm on weekdays and from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday. Sirasa TV
Sirasa TV is a digital, terrestrial television network in Sri Lanka. It is the sister channel of ' TV One' (Previously MTV Channel and MTV Sports) which was established in 1992. Sirasa TV was started in 1998 as a sister to its radio network Sirasa FM. Sirasa TV is owned by the Sri Lankan business conglomerate, Capital Maharaja Group together with Gregson Holdings Ltd. Since then, another multi-national company - International Media Management - has also invested in MTV. It broadcasts its programs mainly in Sinhala. Hasantha Hettiarachchi
Keerthi Sri Dr. Hasantha Srilal Hettiarachchi ( si, හසන්ත හෙට්ටිආරච්චි; born 21 December) is a Sri Lankan journalist and television presenter. He is considered as an iconic figure of Sri Lankan media most notable for the popular television programs ''Atapattama'' and ''Doramadalawa''. Personal life He was born on 21 December in Warakapola, Kegalle in a family with three siblings. His father is a businessman. He completed education from Mirigama Bandaranaike Vidyalaya. After passing G.C.E A/L, he entered University of Colombo and obtained a Special degree on Mass Communication. He got the award for best Announcer at the university media festival. Swarnavahini ( si, ස්වර්ණවාහිනී; literally Golden Channel) is a Sinhala language general entertainment and news television channel in Sri Lanka owned by EAP Broadcasting Company, a subsidiary of EAP Holdings. Siyatha TV is a private Sri Lankan 4K Ultra HD channel currently broadcasting in Sri Lanka in the Sinhala language.
