Suman Mukherjee
Suman Mukhopadhyay ( bn, সুমন মুখোপাধ্যায়; born 20 November 1966) is an Indian film director.His popular films are Herbert (film), Kangal Malsat, Shesher Kobita (2014). Career Suman Mukhopadhyay is currently visiting New York on a Fulbright Fellowship with Columbia University. His first cinematic directorial debut film was ''Herbert (film), Herbert'' which was released in 2005. Herbert won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Bengali, National Award for Best Bengali film. Suman is in the post-production of his feature film "Putulnacher Itikatha", based on the novel by Manik Bandyopadhyay. His latest feature film is "Nazarband". The film premiered at Busan International Film Festival 2020. His earlier film is "Asamapta"(Incomplete), premiered in IFFLA, USA. Howrah
Howrah (, , alternatively spelled as Haora) is a city in the Indian state of West Bengal. Howrah is located on the western bank of the Hooghly River opposite its twin city of Kolkata. Shikhandi
Shikhandi ( sa, शिखण्डी, translit=Śikhaṇḍī) is a character in the Hindu epic Mahabharata. Born as the daughter of Drupada, the King of Panchala, Shikhandi becomes a biological male after agreeing to a sex exchange with a yaksha. He is the brother of Draupadi, the female protagonist of the epic, who is the common wife of the Pandavas. Shikhandi, whose natal female identity is sometimes rendered Shikhandini, is the reincarnation of Amba, a princess who was abducted, and later spurned by Bhishma. The prince fights in the Kurukshetra War on the side of his brothers-in-law, the Pandavas, and is instrumental in causing the death of Bhishma. ''Coriolanus'' is an unfinished German adaptation by the modernist playwright Bertolt Brecht of the English 17th-century tragedy by William Shakespeare.Willett (1959, 63). Brecht wrote it sometime between 1951 and 1953. This adaptation reveals the influence of Mao Zedong on Brecht's social thought especially the idea of primary and secondary contradictions which Mao discussed in his treatise ''On Contradiction''. Debesh Roy (17 December 1936 — 14 May 2020) was a Bengali writer and scholar from India. He is best known for his Sahitya Akademi Award-winning novel ''Teesta Parer Brittanta'' (1990). Early life and education Roy was born in Pabna in British India. His family came to Jalpaiguri on 17 December 1936. His father was Khistish Roy and his mother was Aparna Roy. He had his schooling from Ananda Model School, Jalpaiguri. He graduated from Ananda Chandra College in Jalpaiguri.
