Sulë Hotla (born Sulejman Asip Sulejmani; 1875 – 11 October 1947), was an Albanians, Albanian rebel, Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization, VMRO member and a military leader of Balli Kombëtar, who led the Karadak-Gollak Uprising (1941-1951), Karadak-Gollak Uprising against Yugoslav Partisans, Yugoslav and Macedonian Partisans in the Skopska Crna Gora, Kumanovo Karadak region. Biography Early years Sulë Hotla was born in 1875, in the village of Otlja in the Kumanovo district (Ottoman), Kaza of Kumanovo of the Ottoman Empire. First Balkan War During the First Balkan War, Hotla fought alongside Idriz Seferi in his Uprising in Karadak and in the Battle of Kumanovo against Serbian forces. Otlja ( mk, Отља, sq, Hotël) is a village in the Municipalities of North Macedonia, municipality of Lipkovo Municipality, Lipkovo, North Macedonia. Demographics According to the statistics of Bulgarians, Bulgarian ethnographer Vasil Kanchov from 1900, 490 inhabitants lived in Otlja, 250 Albanians, Albanian Muslims, 200 Romani people, Romani and 40 Bulgarians, Christian Bulgarians.
