Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation is a non-profit charity organization in Saudi Arabia set up and funded by former Crown Prince Sultan in 1995. The foundation participates in projects ranging from large housing projects for the needy and the provision of medical care facilities in Saudi Arabia to the funding of scientific research. Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (c. 5 January 1928 – 22 October 2011) (Arabic: سلطان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ''Sulṭān ibn ʿAbdulʿazīz Āl Suʿūd''), called ''Sultan the Good'' (Arabic: سلطان الخير ''Sulṭan al Khair'') in Saudi Arabia, was the Saudi defense minister from 1963 to 2011 and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia from 2005 to 2011. Early life and education Sultan was born in Riyadh sometime between the mid to late 1920s to early 1930s, with the year being given as 1925, 1928, 1930, and 1931. Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ( ar, بدر بن سلطان بن عبد العزيز آل سعود) (born 1980) is a member of the House of Saud. He was former governor of Al Jawf Region and is the deputy governor of Makkah Province. Biography Prince Badr was born in 1980. His parents are Prince Sultan and Hoda bint Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sheikh. On 27 February 2018 Prince Badr was named the governor of the Al Jawf region at the rank of minister succeeding Fahad bin Badr bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in the post. Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud (born 2 March 1949) is a retired Saudi Arabian diplomat, military officer, and government official who served as Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the United States from 1983 to 2005.
