Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien College (), abbreviated as , is a government boys' secondary school in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. It is the first secondary school in the country. The school is also one of the only three boys' secondary schools nationwide, with the other two being Muda Hashim Secondary School and Ma'had Islam Brunei. The school provides five years of secondary education leading up to GCE 'O' Level and IGCSE qualification. Name The school is named after Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien III, the twenty-eighth Sultan of Brunei, who preceded the current Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB; Jawi: بندر سري بڬاوان; ) is the capital city of Brunei. It is officially a municipal area () with an area of and an estimated population of 100,700 as of 2007. It is part of Brunei-Muara District, the smallest yet most populous district which is home to over 70 per cent of the country's population. The Institute of Brunei Technical Education (; abbreviation An abbreviation (from Latin ''brevis'', meaning ''short'') is a shortened form of a word or phrase, by any method. Hayati Binti Mohd Salleh
Hayati binti Mohd Salleh (or simply Hayati Salleh) is a Bruneian lawyer and the first female Attorney General of Brunei, who served the office from 2009 to 2018. She is also the first female High Court Judge in the Supreme Court of Brunei, as well as the first Bruneian Malay woman to be called to the English Bar. Mohammad Ali bin Mohammad Daud (25 February 1936 – 24 October 2018) was a Bruneian nobleman, politician and diplomat whom formerly served as the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports from 1986 to 1989, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1989 to 2005. Pengiran Umar (2 February 1940 – 12 May 2023), sometimes spelled Omar Apong, was a nobleman and police officer who became the second Brunei local to be appointed Brunei's Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) after the Sultanate regained full independence from Great Britain on 1 January 1984, and later a member of the Royal Council. Zakaria bin Sulaiman (22 June 1937 – 1 November 2011) is a nobleman and politician in the Government of Brunei. Cheteria
The Cheteria are a group of royal dignitaries within the Sultanate of Brunei whose position ranks below the Royal Wazir but above the Manteri. Each carry specialized tasks and report directly to the Sultan of Brunei. The Cheteria hierarchy is structured around what is known as the Four Fold system which expands up to 32 folds. The title of Cheteria are only bestowed upon the Pengiran, especially to the caste of Pengiran known as the Pengiran Peranakan. The awarding of such titles are held in a ceremony called "mengangkat". Yusof Mohamed Alam
Pengiran Anak Mohamed Yusof (24 June 1948 – 13 December 2004) was a nobleman and formerly a civil servant from Brunei who became the prince consort to Princess Nor'ain in 1967, and brother of Queen Saleha.
