Sullivan Explorers
The Aguada Explorers are an independent professional baseball team playing in the American Empire Professional Baseball League, which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball. The team is currently based in the municipality of Aguada, Puerto Rico, previously playing out of the cities of Rome and Loch Sheldrake in New York. History In 2015 the Road City Explorers were set to be a member of the East Coast Baseball League. The team was to be managed by Spencer Trygg. Prior to the planned start of the ECBL's first season the American-based teams, including the Explorers, pulled out of the league to form the North Country Baseball League. The restructuring resulted in the Explorers being taken over by Eddie Gonzalez as manager and Robert Babiak as general manager. In 2016, they joined the EPBL, set to play out of Rome, New York. Aguada, Puerto Rico
Aguada (; , ), originally San Francisco de Asís de la Aguada, is a town and municipality of Puerto Rico, located in the western coastal valley region bordering the Atlantic Ocean, east of Rincón, west of Aguadilla and Moca; and north of Añasco and Mayagüez. The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) is a professional independent baseball league based in the United States. It is an official MLB Partner League based in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States. The Atlantic League's corporate headquarters is located at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Atlantic League operates in cities not served by Major League Baseball (MLB) or Minor League Baseball (MiLB) teams; most of its teams are within suburbs and exurbs too close to other teams in the organized baseball system to have minor league franchises of their own. The Catskill Cougars were a minor-league baseball team based in Mountaindale, New York in the state's Catskill Mountains region. The Cougars played in the North Atlantic League in 1996 and the Northeast League (later known as the Can-Am League), from 1997-1998 and 2000. The American Association of Professional Baseball is an independent professional baseball league founded in 2005. SUNY Sullivan is a public community college in Loch Sheldrake, New York. It was founded in 1962 and is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and funded in part by Sullivan County, New York. East Coast Baseball League
The North Country Baseball League (NCBL) was an independent, professional baseball league located in the Northeastern region of the United States in 2015. Operating in cities not served by Major League Baseball or their minor-league affiliates, the NCBL had four franchise teams spread throughout the states of New York and Maine. The league was originally proposed as the East Coast Baseball League and had six teams, four in the United States and two in Ontario, Canada. Right before the season started, the Watertown team pulled out over what they claimed were unfulfilled promised by the ECBL management. The other U.S.-based teams also pulled out and with Watertown formed the NCBL; the two Canadian teams then folded.
