Sulejman Pitarka
Sulejman Pitarka (1924–2007) was an Albanian actor, writer, and playwright originally from Debar. His family moved to Durrës, Albania, when he was five. His brother was Bashkim Pitarka, who became an Albanian diplomat. Debar
Debar ( mk, Дебaр ; Albanian: ''Dibër''/''Dibra'' or ''Dibra e Madhe;'' ) is a city in the western part of North Macedonia, near the border with Albania, off the road from Struga to Gostivar. It is the seat of Debar Municipality. Debar has an ethnic Albanian majority of 74% and is North Macedonia's only city in which ethnic Macedonians do not rank first or second demographically. The official languages are Macedonian and Albanian. Name The name of the city in Macedonian is ''Debar'' (Дебар). The Great Warrior Skanderbeg
''The Great Warrior Skanderbeg'' ( al, Luftëtari i madh i Shqipërisë Skënderbeu; russian: Великий воин Албании Скандербег, Velikiy voin Albanii Skanderbeg) is a 1953 Soviet-Albanian biopic directed by Sergei Yutkevich. It was entered into the 1954 Cannes Film Festival where it earned the International Prize. Yutkevich also earned the Special Mention award for his direction. The film is a biography of George Kastriot Skanderbeg (1405–1468), widely known as Skanderbeg, a 15th-century Albanian lord who defended his land against the Ottoman Empire for more than two decades. In 2012, for the 100th anniversary of Albanian independence, the film was remastered for high definition with new voices, music, and sound effects. ''Debatik'' is a 1961 Albanian drama movie directed by Hysen Hakani. It was produced as a fictional work for the creation of the Debatik organization in Albania in 1942. Plot Three years after the Italian invasion of Albania, children create their anti-fascist organization, called Debatik ( sq, Djemtë E Bashkuar Anëtarë Të Ideve Komuniste, in English United Boys Members of Communist Ideas). Coli, an orphaned poor boy, is proud to be accepted in the organization. He manages to inform his communist teacher that he is trapped by the fascist prosecutors, but is killed while doing so. Uncle Demir finds the boy and transports his dead body in his carriage.
