Sukumar
Bandreddi Sukumar (born 23 January 1970) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer who works in Telugu cinema. He is known for his complex, multi-layered screenplays and for infusing grey shades in the character sketches of his protagonists. He is one of the highest paid directors in South Indian cinema. Sukumar worked as a mathematics and physics lecturer at a junior college in Kakinada for nearly seven years before pursuing a directional career in films. He began working as a writer and worked with Editor Mohan before assisting V. V. Vinayak on ''Dil'' (2003). Sukumar made his directorial debut with ''Arya'' in 2004, whose success catapulted him to stardom. Sukumar won the Filmfare Award for Best Director – Telugu and Nandi Award for Best Screenplay Writer for his work on ''Arya''. ''1: Nenokkadine'' () is a 2014 Indian Telugu-language psychological action thriller film directed by Sukumar. The film was produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta, and Anil Sunkara on 14 Reels Entertainment banner and was distributed by Eros International. The film stars Mahesh Babu and Kriti Sanon who makes her acting debut through this film. Nassar, Pradeep Rawat and Kelly Dorji appear in supporting roles. Mahesh Babu's son, Gautham Krishna, made his debut in the film as a younger version of the protagonist. ''Rangasthalam'' () is a 2018 Indian Telugu-language period action drama film written and directed by Sukumar. Produced by Y. Naveen, Y. Ravi Shankar and C. V. Mohan for the company Mythri Movie Makers, the film stars Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni with Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Naresh, and Anasuya Bharadwaj in key supporting roles. ''Rangasthalam'' is set in the eponymous fictional village in the 1980s. Telugu cinema, also known as Tollywood, is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Telugu language, widely spoken in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. East Godavari District
East Godavari is a district in the Coastal Andhra region of Andhra Pradesh, India. Its district headquarters is at Rajahmundry. As of census 2011, it became the most populous district of the state with a population of 5,151,549. In the Madras Presidency, the District of Rajahmundry was created in 1823. It was reorganised in 1859 and was bifurcated into Godavari and Krishna districts.
