Sukekiyo
Sukekiyo (stylized as sukekiyo and also referred to in katakana form as ) is a Japanese band formed in 2013 by Dir En Grey vocalist Kyo. It is sometimes referred to as a supergroup as every member of the band is or has been in other well-known acts in the Japanese visual kei movement, although only Kyo is currently active in another band. History Sukekiyo was formed as a side project by Kyo along with members of other Japanese rock bands. The name derives from Seishi Yokomizo's novel ''The Inugami Clan''. The band's activities are by periods as Kyo's main project Dir en grey is still his priority. Since the band released their first album, they have had a handful of tours in Japan, and more recently, Europe. In November 2014, they announced a new mini-album called ''Vitium'', which contained 8 new tracks and released on February 4, 2015. Kyo (musician)
is a Japanese musician, singer, lyricist and poet. He is best known as the vocalist and lyricist of the heavy metal band Dir En Grey. He was formerly in a string of visual kei rock bands, with the most notable being La:Sadie's from 1995 to 1997. He then started Dir En Grey in February 1997, following La:Sadie's disbandment with three of its members, formed the experimental rock band Sukekiyo in 2013, and the supergroup Petit Brabancon in 2021. Kyo was inspired to become a musician when he saw a picture of Buck-Tick vocalist Atsushi Sakurai on the desk of a junior high school classmate. When he then discovered X Japan he was particularly fond of hide and had his parents buy him the guitarist's black signature model guitar. Toshi (musician)
, known exclusively by his stage name Toshi,Currently stylized as Toshl (with a lowercase L) and previously in all capital letters. is a Japanese singer and songwriter who is the lead vocalist and a co-founder of the rock band X Japan, who rose to prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s and is credited as founders of the visual kei movement. Toshi began an extensive solo career in 1992 before leaving X Japan at the end of 1997. Toshi laments he was " brainwashed" by a group called Home of Heart, whose leader would control his musical output for the next 12 years. In 2007, X Japan reunited and began a world tour. 9Goats Black Out (stylized as 9GOATS BLACK OUT) was a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in 2007. The band was signed with the independent label Dalli. History The band was formed in 2007. After the breakup of the band Gullet in 2004, Ryo focused on his design work by removing himself from music activities for three years. Without any expectation of making a new band, guitarist Uta and bassist Hati asked him to work with them. Petit Brabancon (band)
Petit Brabancon is a Japanese supergroup, active since 2021. It consists of vocalist Kyo (Dir en grey), drummer yukihiro (L'Arc-en-Ciel), guitarists Miya (Mucc) and antz ( Tokyo Shoegazer), and bassist Hirofumi Takamatsu ( The Novembers). Having been secretly writing and recording music since 2018, the band was not publicly unveiled until December 2021.
