Air Marshal Sujeet Pushpakar Dharkar, PVSM, AVSM is an officer in the Indian Air Force. He is currently serving as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command. He assumed the office on 1 October 2022. Previously, he served as the Senior Air Staff Officer of South Western Air Command, Gandhinagar. Early life and education Sujeet Pushpakar Dharkar is a graduate of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and an alumnus of the prestigious National Defence Academy, Khadagwasla. He is an alumnus of Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun and USAF Air War College, Montgomery. MiG-23
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23 (russian: Микоян и Гуревич МиГ-23; NATO reporting name: Flogger) is a variable-geometry fighter aircraft, designed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich design bureau in the Soviet Union. It is a third-generation jet fighter, alongside similar Soviet aircraft such as the Su-17 "Fitter". It was the first Soviet fighter to field a look-down/shoot-down radar, the RP-23 Sapfir, and one of the first to be armed with beyond-visual-range missiles. Production started in 1969 and reached large numbers with over 5,000 aircraft built, making it the most produced variable-sweep wing aircraft in history. Air Marshal Sreekumar Prabhakaran, AVSM, VM is a retired officer of the Indian Air Force. He is served as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Air Command. He assumed the office on 1 March 2022 and superannuated on 31 December 2022. Previously, he served as the Commandant of Air Force Academy, Dundigal. 50th Independence Anniversary Medal
The 50th Independence Anniversary Medal was issued to commemorate the historic occasion of 50 years of the independence of India. and is authorised for all Armed Forces personnel borne on strength as on 15 August 1997. 75th Independence Anniversary Medal (India)
The 75th Independence Anniversary Medal was issued to commemorate the historic occasion of 75 years of the Indian independence movement, independence of India. High Altitude Medal
The High Altitude Medal (Ucchh Tungta Medal) is issued to service personnel who complete a specified tenure at high altitude. The medal was instituted following the President’s Secretariat Notification No - 72/Pres86 dated 12 September 1986. The medal was instituted in lieu of the clasp ''Himalaya'' to Sainya Seva Medal. Sainya Seva Medal
The Sainya Seva Medal is a medal of the Indian Armed Forces. The medal is awarded in recognition of non-operational service under conditions of hardship and severe climate in specified areas. History The Sainya Seva Medal was instituted on 26 January 1960 by the Government of India, with the approval of the President of India. Five other medals were instituted on the same day - the Vishisht Seva Medal series (Class I, Class II, Class III), the Videsh Seva Medal, Sena Medal, Nao Sena Medal and the Vayu Sena Medal. Operations Parakram Medal is a military award of India. It was awarded in recognition of the services of Armed Forces personnel and civilians in Operation Parakram. Air Marshal Dilip Kumar Patnaik, AVSM, VM is a retired officer in the Indian Air Force. He served as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Eastern Air Command.
