''Suckapunch'' is the seventh studio album by English rock band You Me at Six. It was released on 15 January 2021, through the band's own label Underdog Records and AWAL. Within a month of releasing their sixth studio album '' VI'', they had recorded "What's It Like" at VADA Studios in Alcester in November 2018. The touring circle for that album continued into mid-2019, when they started recording a new album with Dan Austin in October and November 2019 at Karma Sound Studios in Bang Saray, Thailand. ''Suckapunch'' is a rock album with electronic, hip hop and R&B influences. ''Suckapunch'' received generally favourable reviews from music critics, many of whom complimented the sognwriting and the album's aggressive tone. The album topped the album charts in both Scotland and the United Kingdom, in addition to charting in Germany. You Me At Six
You Me at Six are an English rock band from Weybridge, Surrey. The band consists of lead singer Josh Franceschi, guitarists Max Helyer and Chris Miller, bassist Matt Barnes and drummer Daniel Flint. Formed in 2004, the name for the group originated as an abbreviation for the group making Friday night plans after a concert. The band has released seven studio albums and one live album. The group achieved initial success in 2008 with the release of their debut album, '' Take Off Your Colours'', which included the singles " Save It for the Bedroom", "Finders Keepers" and " Kiss and Tell", with the latter two peaking at number 33 and number 42 respectively in the UK Singles Chart. ''Take Off Your Colours'' is the debut studio album by English rock band You Me at Six, originally released on 6 October 2008 through Slam Dunk Records. After forming in 2004, they released an EP titled ''We Know What It Means to Be Alone'' in 2006, and went on a tour with Elliot Minor in support of the release. After releasing " Save It for the Bedroom" as a single to promote their tour, the band gained attention from both independent and major record labels. Following their tour with Elliot Minor, the writing process for the new album began. Although all the music's writing was credited to the entire band, vocalist Josh Franceschi and guitarist Max Helyer were usually the biggest creative forces among the group, being responsible for songs' concepts. Jim Irvin
Jim Irvin is an English singer, songwriter, music journalist and podcast host. Early life Born James Lawrence Irvin and raised in west London. Career Furniture Irvin was the singer in the English new wave band Furniture, who released singles and albums with Survival, Stiff and Arista Records between 1982 and 1990. Nick Hodgson
Nicholas James David Hodgson (born 20 October 1977) is an English drummer, backing vocalist, and songwriter, formerly of the indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs. Early life He attended St. Mary's Menston with Nick Baines and Simon Rix. He then went on to Trinity & All Saints University College in Horsforth, Leeds, where he studied Media. Joshua James Alphonse Franceschi (born 7 August 1990) is an English singer and songwriter. He is lead vocalist of rock band You Me at Six. Early life Josh was born to parents Anne Franceschi and Christian Franceschi in Weybridge, Surrey. He is of Corsican-French (paternal) descent. He has one sister, Elissa Franceschi who is also a vocalist. He lived in Cyprus in his early childhood, but later moved to Twickenham to live with his grandmother.
