Carmen Villani
Carmen Villani (born 21 May 1944) is a former Italian pop singer. She had a recognisable voice and an outstanding musical sense. Villani was a versatile performer, featuring elements of gospel and blues. She is considered among the finest examples of the early beat music in Italy. She also collaborated with some of the top film scorers in Italy. Villani's fame was limited to her homeland, where she charted records and gave several performances broadcast nationwide by RAI. The commedia sexy all'italiana (, lit. "sex comedy Italian style"), also known as commedia scollacciata or commedia erotica all'italiana, is a subgenre of Italian ''commedia all'italiana'' film genre. Style ''Commedia sexy'' is characterized typically by both abundant female nudity and comedy, and by the minimal weight given to social criticism that was the basic ingredient of the main ''commedia all'italiana'' genre. Stories are often set in affluent environments such as wealthy households. It is closely connected to the sexual revolution, and it was something extremely new and innovative for that period. For the first time, films with female nudity could be watched at the cinema. Pornography and scenes of explicit sex were still forbidden in Italian cinemas, but partial nudity was somewhat tolerated. Attilio Dottesio (16 July 1909 – 12 February 1989) was an Italian film character actor and singer. He appeared in 170 films between 1940 and 1985. Born in Brescia, Dottesio began his career in France, where first he obtained some success as a pop singer and later debuted as an actor in the film ''The Pearls of the Crown'' directed by Sacha Guitry. Back in Italy, he attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, then he began an intense career as a character actor. Gloria Piedimonte (27 May 1955 – 6 January 2022), also known as La Guapa, was an Italian singer, actress, dancer, and television personality. Life and career Piedimonte was born in Mantua on 27 May 1955. After some minor film roles Piedimonte gained some popularity in 1978 appearing in the music show ''Discoring'', in which she danced to the tune of the theme song "Baila Guapa", performed by Bus Connection. In the same year she released two singles, the disco music song "Uno" and the space music song "Ping Pong Space". The following year she starred in her only film as lead actress, ''Baila Guapa''. After appearances in other films and in photonovelas, she brought out one more single in 1983, "Ma che bella serata".
