Subaru B11S
The Subaru B11S was a concept sports coupe made by Subaru, introduced at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show. Design The model number "B11S" derives from B (for Boxer, referring to Subaru's horizontally-opposed engines), 11 (indicating a premium class), and S (for Sportive). The B11S featured four doors in a quad coupe arrangement, with the rear doors hinged at the rear in a manner similar to the Mazda RX-8 and Saturn Ion. The B11S was styled by a team led by Kiyoshi Sugimoto, with initial guidance provided by freshly-promoted President Kyoji Takenaka. Sugimoto had previously designed the first-generation Subaru Legacy before heading the Subaru Design Department. The International Motor Show Germany or International Mobility Show Germany, in German known as the ''Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung'' (''IAA'' – International Automobile Exhibition), is one of the world's largest mobility shows. It consists of two separate fairs, that subdivided in 1991. Mazda RX-8
The Mazda RX-8 is a sports car manufactured by Japanese automobile manufacturer Mazda between 2002 and 2012. It was first shown in 2001 at the North American International Auto Show. It is the successor to the RX-7 and, like its predecessors in the RX range, it is powered by a rotary Wankel engine. The RX-8 was available for sale in North America from the 2003 model year. Flat Engine
A flat engine is a piston engine where the cylinders are located on either side of a central crankshaft. Flat engines are also known as horizontally opposed engines, however this is distinct from the less common opposed-piston engine design, whereby each cylinder has two pistons sharing a central combustion chamber. The most common configuration of flat engines is the boxer engine configuration, in which the pistons of each opposed pair of cylinders move inwards and outwards at the same time. Andreas Zapatinas (born 1957) is a Greek people, Greek automobile designer and industrial designer. Early life and education Zapatinas was born in Athens.
