Suad Beširević
Suad Beširević (4 March 1963 – 28 September 2019) was a Slovene football manager and a professional football player. Playing career Club He was regarded as one of the best players of FK Borac Banja Luka, where he spent most of his career and where he won the 1987–88 Yugoslav Cup. He also won the 1990–91 Cypriot First Division and the 1991–92 Cypriot Cup with Apollon Limassol FC. He was the joint top goalscorer of the 1990–91 Cypriot First Division season alongside Panikos Xiourouppas, with 19 scored goals in 25 played games. Managerial career As a manager Beširević won the Slovenian Cup in the 2002–03 season with NK Olimpija Ljubljana, whose manager he was from January 2003 to the summer of 2004. He also won the Slovenian Third League (West Group) with NK Šenčur in the 2008–09 season. The Cypriot First Division ( el, Πρωτάθλημα Α΄ Κατηγορίας) is the top tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Since February 2016, it is sponsored by Cyta and is thus officially known as the Cyta Championship. The league is contested by 14 teams and runs from August to May, with the three lowest-placed teams being relegated to the Cypriot Second Division, and replaced by the top three teams in that division. The Slovenian Third Football League ( sl, Tretja slovenska nogometna liga or commonly 3. SNL) is the third tier of the Football in Slovenia, Slovenian football system. Slovenian Football Cup
The Slovenian Football Cup ( sl, Pokal Nogometne zveze Slovenije, ) is the top knockout tournament of Slovenian football and the second most important football competition in Slovenia after the Slovenian PrvaLiga championship. The cup was established in 1991 following the breakup of Yugoslavia. Since 2020, it has been known as Pokal Pivovarna Union after its headline sponsor, the Union Brewery. As of 2022, a total of 17 clubs have reached the cup final; the most successful side in the history of the competition is Maribor, who have triumphed 9 times in their 14 cup final appearances. They are followed by Olimpija and Koper, who both won four titles. Primorje hold the record for most appearances in the final without winning the title, finishing as runners-up in three consecutive finals between 1996 and 1998. 1991–92 Cypriot Cup
The 1991–92 Cypriot Cup was the 50th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 72 clubs entered the competition. It began on 9 November 1991 with the first preliminary round and concluded on 10 June 1992 with the final which was held at Tsirion Stadium. Apollon won their 4th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Omonia 1–0 in the final. Format In the 1991–92 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division, the Cypriot Second Division, the Cypriot Third Division and 30 of the 42 teams of the Cypriot Fourth Division.
