Stéphane Valeri
Stéphane Valeri (born 1 March 1962) is a Monegasque politician and businessman. He served as the president of the National Council, which is the most powerful elected position in Monaco, between 22 February 2018 and 23 October 2022. He is the former Minister for Social Affairs and Health in Monaco. He served three terms as a National Councillor, and then as its president, but resigned halfway through the second term so that he could serve as a Government Minister. While growing up Valeri attended two high schools ( Lycée Albert Prime, and Lycée Masséna), as well as the European School of Management in Berlin. Valeri previously served as executive assistant for SBM's Sales-Marketing department, but transferred a year late to the Advertising-Promotions department. Following his departure from SBM, Valeri founded Monaco-based communications group PROMOCOM. National Council Of Monaco
The National Council (french: Conseil national) is the parliament (legislative body) of the Principality of Monaco. The body is composed of twenty-four members, who are elected from lists by universal suffrage. Councillors serve for five-year terms, and though it may act independently of the Prince, he may dissolve it at any time, provided that new elections be held within three months. The Council meets at least twice per year to vote on the country's budget and bills proposed by the prince's government. Ordinances (executive orders) are debated in the Council of Government, and once approved, must be submitted to the Sovereign Prince within eighty days for his signature, which makes them legally enforceable. Monaco City (french: Monaco-Ville) is the southcentral ward in the Principality of Monaco. Located on a headland that extends into the Mediterranean Sea, it is nicknamed The Rock (french: Le Rocher). 2018 Monegasque General Election
General elections were held in Monaco on 11 February 2018. Since the 2013 Monegasque general election, General Election of 2013, the largest party, Horizon Monaco, split, which led to the formation of a new political party – Primo ! Priorité Monaco, Primo! Priorite Monaco. The latter won 58% of the vote, while the other parties, Horizon Monaco and Union Monégasque got 26% and 16% respectively. This led to a 21-seat gain for Primo!, with the 3 remaining seats being divided between Horizon Monaco and Union Monégasque. Peille
Peille (; oc, Pelha; it, Peglio Marittimo) is a commune perched on a rock between Monaco and Menton in the Alpes Maritimes department in southeastern France. It overlooks the River Peillon. Higher still than the village are the ruins of a château dating from the thirteenth century. Rainier III (Rainier Louis Henri Maxence Bertrand Grimaldi; 31 May 1923 – 6 April 2005) was Prince of Monaco from 1949 to his death in 2005. Rainier ruled the Principality of Monaco for almost 56 years, making him one of the longest-ruling monarchs in European history.
