''Stukas Over Disneyland'' is the third studio album by punk rock band The Dickies, released in 1983. The album includes covers of The Quick's "Pretty Please Me" and Led Zeppelin's "Communication Breakdown." The cover art illustrates the album's title by showing a Stuka dive bomber over the head of Mickey Mouse. Critical reception Reviewer Steve Spinali of Maximum Rocknroll commented positively on the original 1984 release with "The DICKIES' first vinyl in almost four years ranks up there near their previous funnypunk triumphs. Junkers Ju 87
The Junkers Ju 87 or Stuka (from ''Sturzkampfflugzeug'', "dive bomber") was a German dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft. Designed by Hermann Pohlmann, it first flew in 1935. The Ju 87 made its combat debut in 1937 with the Luftwaffe's Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War of 1936–1939 and served the Axis in World War II from beginning to end (1939–1945). The aircraft is easily recognisable by its inverted gull wings and fixed spatted undercarriage. Upon the leading edges of its faired main gear legs were mounted ram-air sirens known as ', which became a propaganda symbol of German air power and of the so-called ''Blitzkrieg'' victories of 1939–1942, as well as providing Stuka pilots with audible feedback as to speed. Chuck Wagon (musician)
Robert Davis (August 11, 1956 – June 6, 1981), stage name Chuck Wagon, was an American musician and member of the Los Angeles punk rock band the Dickies, with whom he released two albums in his lifetime, as well as a solo 7" single called "Rock n' Roll Won't Go Away". Having joined the Dickies shortly after their formation in 1977, Wagon was the band's multi-instrumentalist, playing keyboards, rhythm guitar, saxophone and harmonica as well as performing backing vocals. Dissatisfied with the band by early 1981, Wagon quit, but was persuaded to return for a handful of live shows. His final studio work with the band, released posthumously in 1983 on ''Stukas Over Disneyland'', would feature Wagon on drums. "Communication Breakdown" is a song by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, from their 1969 self-titled debut album. It was also used as the B-side of the group's first single in the US, "Good Times Bad Times". A promotional video was released, with the group miming to the recording, which is included on the ''Led Zeppelin DVD'' (2003). Composition The song is 2 minutes and 26 seconds long. It was one of the first worked on by the band, shortly after formation and before they had played any gigs. It developed from a guitar riff played by Jimmy Page, while the rest of the band wrote the song around it. Bassist John Paul Jones later said "This is Page's riffyou can tell instantly".
