Cristi Puiu
Cristi Puiu (; born 3 April 1967) is a Romanian film director and screenwriter. With Anca Puiu and Alex Munteanu, in 2004 he founded a cinema production company, naming it Mandragora. Early life, education and career Cristian Emilian Puiu was born to Iuliana and Emilian Puiu in Bucharest, Romania. Puiu's first interest in art was painting. In 1992, he was admitted as a student to the Painting Department of ''École Supérieure d'Arts Visuels'' in Geneva. After the first year he switched to film studies at the same school, where he graduated in 1996. He started working in film after his return to Romania. He is married to Anca Puiu. He and Anca have three children: Smaranda, Ileana and Zoe. Alexandru Papadopol (; born 5 April 1975, in Râmnicu Vâlcea) is a Romanian actor. At the beginning of the year 2000 he appeared in the films ''Marfa şi banii'' (''Goods and Money'' or '' Stuff and Dough'') and ''Occident'', after which he appeared in a series of television productions. Papadopol was married to Ioana Ginghina until they divorced in 2019. The couple have a daughter, Ruxi. Dragoș Bucur (; born 13 June 1977) is a Romanian actor, ambassador for the program ''Youth of the Move'' involved by the European Commission, and TV presenter for the show '' Visuri la cheie'' broadcast on Pro TV '' Visuri la cheie''. Directors' Fortnight
The Directors' Fortnight (french: Quinzaine des Réalisateurs) is an independent selection of the Cannes Film Festival. It was started in 1969 by the French Directors Guild after the events of May 1968 resulted in cancellation of the Cannes festival as an act of solidarity with striking workers. The Directors' Fortnight showcases a programme of shorts and feature films and documentaries worldwide. Artistic directors Programming is overseen by an artistic director. Luminița Gheorghiu
Luminița Gheorghiu (; 1 September 1949 – 4 July 2021) was a Romanian film actress, and artistic performer in East Central Europe. She achieved international recognition for her roles in '' The Death of Mr. Lazarescu'' (2006) and '' Child's Pose'' (2013). Gheorghiu's roles were mostly in Romanian and French, including that in ''Code Unknown'' with Juliette Binoche. Gheorghiu was a 1972 graduate of the Institute of Theatrical and Cinematographic Arts in Bucharest, where she studied under professor Ion Cojar. She made her debut in 1971, at the Casandra Theatre, and then played at theaters in Botoșani and Piatra Neamț. From 1976 to 2003, she played at the Bulandra Theatre in Bucharest.
