Studená Vltava (german: Kalte Moldau) is a river of Germany (Bavaria) and the Czech Republic (South Bohemian Region). It connects with the Teplá Vltava to form the Vltava. Teplá (german: Tepl) is a town in Cheb District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,900 inhabitants. Bohemian Forest
The Bohemian Forest, known in Czech as Šumava () and in German as Böhmerwald, is a low mountain range in Central Europe. Geographically, the mountains extend from Plzeň Region and South Bohemia in the Czech Republic to Austria and Bavaria in Germany, and form the highest truncated uplands of the Bohemian Massif, up to 50 km wide. Volary
Volary (; german: Wallern) is a town in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,700 inhabitants. It is located in the Bohemian Forest, close to the border with Germany. An area in the northern part of the town with timber-framed Alpine-type buildings is well preserved and is protected by law as a village monument reservation. Nová Pec (german: Neuofen) is a municipality and village in Prachatice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants. Vltava ( , ; german: Moldau ) is the longest river in the Czech Republic, running southeast along the Bohemian Forest and then north across Bohemia, through Český Krumlov, České Budějovice and Prague, and finally merging with the Labe at Mělník. Haidmühle is a municipality in the district of Freyung-Grafenau in Bavaria in Germany. Geography Geographical location The community lies in the Donau-Wald on the Kalte Moldau in the Bavarian Forest, on the border with the Czech Republic. Haidmühle is located 25 km from Freyung, 24 km from Waldkirchen, and 20 km from the border with Austria. A few meters away from the village is the border crossing Nové Údolí (''Neuthal'') to Stožec, which is open to pedestrians and cyclists. Haidmühle was formerly a railway border station, connected by the Waldkirchen–Haidmühle railway to Waldkirchen and Passau, and by the Číčenice–Haidmühle railway to Volary and Prachatice.
