WGHR (college Radio)
WGHR was a noncommercial radio station operated solely by the students of Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Georgia, United States. The station was supported by students and its listeners with diverse programming from a wide variety of genres. History Like many other college radio stations, WGHR originally began as a carrier current low-power AM station in 1969, transmitting on 1280 kHz from a wire loop antenna run atop the circle of buildings at the center of campus. Although it is not an officially assigned callsign, it took the name WSTB, an acronym for Southern Tech Broadcasting. Nicknamed "Stubby", its studio was in a dormitory. In the mid-1970s, the station applied for a low-power FM station, initially trying 91.7. However, it was initially rejected for being too close to 91.9 ( WCLK) and 91.1 (WREK). It then chose 102.5, and was eventually given a construction permit in 1979 for that frequency. Since there was already a WSTB FM in Streetsboro, Ohi ...

Stubby Bottle
A beer bottle is a bottle designed as a container for beer. Such designs vary greatly in size and shape, but the glass commonly is brown or green to reduce spoilage from light, especially ultraviolet. The most widely established alternatives to glass containers for beer in retail sales are beverage cans and aluminium bottles; for larger volumes kegs are in common use. The process is typically as follows: # Filling a bottle in a filling machine (''filler'') typically involves drawing beer from a holding tank # Capping the bottle, labeling it # Packing the bottles into cases or cartons Many smaller breweries send their bulk beer to large facilities for contract bottling—though some will bottle by hand. The first step in bottling beer is ''depalletising'', where the empty bottles are removed from the original packaging delivered from the manufacturer, so that individual bottles ma ...

Stubbies (brand)
Stubbies is the brand name for fashion shorts in Australia and New Zealand. The shorts were introduced in 1972 as short fashion shorts for men. Since then the range has expanded to include a range of workwear for both men and women. Stubbies has entered New Zealand and Australasian slang vocabulary, referred to in the Australian Macquarie Dictionary as "Short shorts of tough material for informal wear". History The brand was established in 1972 by clothing manufacturer Edward Fletcher and Co. More than 750,000 pairs of Stubbies were sold across Australia in that first year. The company later changed its name to Stubbies because of the success of this line. The company was bought out by US-based Sara Lee Corporation in 1990 and moved offshore. Pacific Dunlop (now Pacific Brands) acquired Sara Lee Apparel Australasia in 2001 and brought the company back to Australia. Stubbies were introduced in the US in 1978 as beach shorts and were a popular brand as worn by skaters and surfers. Th ...
