Stuart Thompson (curler)
Stuart Thompson (born September 26, 1992 in Halifax, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian curler. He currently skips his own team on the World Curling Tour. Career Juniors As a junior curler, Thompson won three Nova Scotia provincial titles. The first came in 2011, playing second for his brother Kendal's team. The team represented Nova Scotia at the 2011 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where the team would just miss the playoffs, finishing with a 7-5 record. With the elder Kendal graduating from the junior ranks, Stuart formed his own junior team for the next season with himself skipping, teammates Scott Babin, Alex MacNeil and Paul Weingartshofer. The team won the 2012 provincial junior title and represented Nova Scotia at the 2012 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. 2013 Canadian Junior Curling Championships
The 2013 M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships were held from January 31 to February 10 at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre at MacDonald Island Park and at the Oilsands Curling Club in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Alberta last hosted the junior championships in Calgary in 2011 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, 2011. The winners will represent Canada at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships in Sochi, Russia. Travis Colter
Travis Colter (born October 15, 1991) is a Canadian curler from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He currently plays second on Team Stuart Thompson. He was a member of the 2019 Nova Scotia men's championship rink that competed at the 2019 Tim Hortons Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship. Career Men's Colter began curling at around 2007. By 2010, he had already joined up with former Brier champion Mark Dacey, playing lead on his team. He played in his first provincial championship at the 2011 Nova Scotia Men's Molson Provincial Championship. There, the team lost in the C qualifier final. The next season, they lost in the final of the 2012 Nova Scotia Men's Molson Provincial Championship to the Jamie Murphy rink. In 2012, Colter joined the Kevin Saccary rink, and joined the Tommy Sullivan rink in 2014. The Sullivan rink went 2–5 at the 2015 provincial championship. Atlantic Curling Tour Championship

Grand Slam (curling)
The Grand Slam of Curling (branded as the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling for sponsorship reasons) is a series of curling bonspiels that are a part of the annual World Curling Tour. Grand Slam events offer a purse of at least CAD$100,000, and feature the best teams from across Canada and around the World. The Grand Slam was instituted during the 2001–02 season for men and 2006–07 for women (with the 2006 Players' Championship also considered a Slam), but some of the Grand Slam events have longer histories as bonspiels. The Grand Slam season consists of six men's and women's events. The original four events (Masters, Open, National, and Players' Championship) are considered to be "majors". Jamie Murphy (curler)
Jamie Murphy (born 13 April 1981 in Saint John, New Brunswick) is a Canadian curler from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He is a former skip, and played at his first Brier in 2012. Career Jamie Murphy, originally from Quispamsis, is a former junior curler, representing New Brunswick at the Canadian Junior Championships in 2001 and 2002. Murphy's team had a notable 2010 season, losing in the semifinal of the Nova Scotia Men's Provincial Championship that year. In 2012 the team captured their provincial championship, defeating former Brier champion Mark Dacey. This earned Murphy's team their first trip to the Brier. Mark Dacey
Mark Dacey (born June 22, 1966) is a Canadian curler originally from Saskatchewan. He was based at the Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dacey is a former Canadian men's curling champion skip, having won the 2004 Nokia Brier. He defeated Randy Ferbey's team, ending their 3-year Brier winning streak. Dacey went on to win a bronze medal at the 2004 Ford World Curling Championship. Competitive history Mark Dacey was a runner-up in the 1995 Brier, as the vice-skip for team Saskatchewan (skipped by Brad Heidt). Representing Nova Scotia, he reached the 2001 Nokia Brier, finishing with a 6-5 record, and at the 2003 Nokia Brier in Halifax, he finished third during the round-robin, with a 7-4 record.
