Stuart Howe
Stuart Howe (born July 19, 1967) is a Canadian operatic tenor who has become particularly noted for his interpretation of the heroic roles of Rossini and Donizetti. Early life Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada and raised in the countryside along the Saint John River, Stuart attended rural elementary and junior high schools before graduating from St. Malachy's Memorial High School in 1985. At the age of fourteen, Howe began what became a highly successful and well known music entertainment company in the Canadian Maritimes. Due to his age, his family had to take turns driving his vans to and from jobs, until he was able to obtain a driver's licence at sixteen. Despite these obstacles, Howe was able to build the company into the largest of its kind in Atlantic Canada and his various inventions and innovations have become mainstream in the mobile disc jockey industry today. ''Falstaff'' () is a comic opera in three acts by the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi. The Italian-language libretto was adapted by Arrigo Boito from the play '' The Merry Wives of Windsor'' and scenes from '' Henry IV, Part 1'' and '' Part 2'', by William Shakespeare. The work premiered on 9 February 1893 at La Scala, Milan. Verdi wrote ''Falstaff'', the last of his 28 operas, as he approached the age of 80. The score, written from 1881 to 1882, was first performed on 14 April 1883 by the Opéra-Comique at the (second) Salle Favart in Paris, with stage decorations designed by Auguste Alfred Rubé and Philippe Chaperon (act 1), Eugène Carpezat and (Joseph-)Antoine Lavastre (act 2), and Jean-Baptiste Lavastre (act 3).
