Stuart Bown
Stuart Bown (born 24 August 1978) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL) for the Adelaide Crows and for Norwood in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Bown was recruited by Norwood from the West Broken Hill Robins and played a couple of seasons in the lower grades before making his league debut in 1999. He won the clubs Under 19's Best & Fairest award in 1997 as well as playing in the Redlegs SANFL U/19 Premiership the same year. He moved to the Reserves in 1998 and repeated his 1997 success by winning the Reserves Best & Fairest and playing in Norwood's SANFL Reserves Premiership. He made his league debut for the Redlegs against Central District in Round 3 of the 1999 season. His form with Norwood (and obvious potential) was such that he was added to the Adelaide Crows Rookie List in 2000. Broken Hill, New South Wales
Broken Hill is an inland mining city in the far west of outback New South Wales, Australia. It is near the border with South Australia on the crossing of the Barrier Highway (A32) and the Silver City Highway (B79), in the Barrier Range. Woodville-West Torrens Eagles
Woodville-West Torrens Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). It was formed in 1990 from an amalgamation of the neighbouring Woodville and West Torrens football clubs and played its inaugural game in 1991. Since 1993, the Eagles have played most of their home games at Woodville's home ground of Woodville Oval, having previously used Football Park. 2000 AFL Season
The 2000 AFL season was the 104th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured sixteen clubs. It ran from 8 March until 2 September, scheduled as the earliest season in history to avoid a clash with the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. The season comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. The premiership was won by the Essendon Football Club for the 16th time, after it defeated by 60 points in the AFL Grand Final.
