Stuart Aubrey
Stuart Neil Aubrey (born 28 December 1990) is an Australian politician and former electrician, who was elected as a Labor member for Scarborough in the Western Australian Legislative Assembly at the 2021 state election. Early life and education Stuart Aubrey was born on 28 December 1990 in Pinjarra, Western Australia, to Ronald Edward Aubrey, a mathematics teacher, and Christine Anne Aubrey, a disability support worker. He attended North Mandurah Primary School and Frederick Irwin Anglican School, completing up to year 11. He later did a Certificate IV in Adult Preparation Studies, which is equivalent to year 12, at Tuart College. Career Aubrey worked for almost seven years as a fly-in fly-out electrician in the resources industry. He joined the Labor party in 2011, when he was 21. The Western Australian Legislative Assembly, or lower house, is one of the two chambers of the Parliament of Western Australia, an Australian state. John Newton Carey (born 11 July 1974) is an Australian politician. A member of the Australian Labor Party, Carey has been the member for Perth in the Western Australian Legislative Assembly, the lower house of the Parliament of Western Australia, since 11 March 2017. Since 19 March 2021, Carey has been the minister for housing and minister for local government. Since 21 December 2021, Carey has also been the minister for lands and minister for homelessness. Roger Hugh Cook (born 20 August 1965) is an Australian politician who is the current Deputy Premier of Western Australia, under Mark McGowan. He has been a member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia since 2008, representing the seat of Kwinana. Fly-in fly-out is a method of employing people in remote areas by flying them temporarily to the work site instead of relocating employees and their families permanently. It is often abbreviated to FIFO when referring to employment status. This is common in large mining regions in Australia and Canada. Similar to the fly-in fly-out roster is the DIDO (drive-in drive-out) roster, which has essentially the same benefits and drawbacks. ''Eucalyptus gomphocephala'', known as tuart, is a species of tree, one of the six forest giants of Southwest Australia. Tuart forest was common on the Swan coastal plain, until the valuable trees were felled for export and displaced by the urban development around Perth, Western Australia. The wood is dense, hard, water resistant and resists splintering, and found many uses when it was available. Remnants of tuart forest occur in state reserves and parks, the tree has occasionally been introduced to other regions of Australia and overseas. Remaining trees are vulnerable to phytophthora dieback, an often fatal disorder, including a previously unknown species discovered during analysis of dead specimens.
