Stu David Thomas is an Australian musician, born 1967 in Canberra, raised in Perth, and currently musically active in Melbourne. He is a multi-instrumentalist, performer, singer, composer, arranger, producer, bass player, guitarist, trumpet player, holds a Diploma of Music, and is a visual artist. Thomas has played in many countries including: Australia, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Bosnia–Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovakia, Portugal, England, Ireland, Scotland, USA, New Zealand, Cocos (Keeling) Islands. Stu has appeared on over 80 releases. Thomas performs solo or with his band as The Stu Thomas Paradox, mainly in Australia, with appearances in Europe and New Zealand. Bang! Records is a Spanish label from Basque Country formed in 1998 by Gorka Munster and Juan-Mari Iturrarte. The label has a primary focus on artists from Melbourne, Australia and New York City's swamp, noise and punk blues music scene. Acts among the Bang! Records roster include The Beasts Of Bourbon, The Scientists, Rowland S. Howard of The Birthday Party, Brian Henry Hooper, The Drones, The Gun Club and Jeffrey Lee Pierce. History Bang! Clare Christina Moore is an Australian musician, songwriter, arranger, producer and performer whose principal instrument is the drums. She has also performed as a keyboard player, singer and vibraphone player. Mike Noga
The Drones were an Australian rock band, formed in Perth by mainstay lead vocalist and guitarist Gareth Liddiard in 1997. Fiona Kitschin, his domestic partner, joined on bass guitar and vocals in 2002. Other long-term members include Rui Pereira on bass guitar and then lead guitar; Mike Noga on drums, vocals, harmonica and percussion; and Dan Luscombe on lead guitar, vocals and keyboards. Malcolm Ross (musician)
Malcolm Ross (born 31 July 1960 in Blantyre, Malawi) is a Scottish guitarist. His musical career started when he played guitar in the Scottish band Josef K. They released a string of singles and an album, ''The Only Fun in Town'', on Postcard Records in the early 1980s. After the demise of Josef K, Ross joined Edwyn Collins in the group Orange Juice, playing and writing songs for both the ''Rip it Up'' and ''Texas Fever'' albums. After Orange Juice, Ross joined Roddy Frame in Aztec Camera as the second guitarist, and recorded and toured the Mark Knopfler produced ''Knife'' album. Next, Ross embarked on other projects such as the High Bees with his wife, Syuzen Buckley, and Dave Ruffy (formerly with The Ruts). ''Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!'' is the fourteenth studio album by Australian rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. The album was recorded in June and July 2007 at The State of the Ark Studios in Richmond, London and mixed by Nick Launay at British Grove Studios in Chiswick, and was released on 3 March 2008. It was the last album to feature founding member Mick Harvey, who left the Bad Seeds in 2009, and organist James Johnston, who left the band before the support tour. It was also the second without founding member Blixa Bargeld. Kim Salmon and the Surrealists are an Australian indie rock band formed by Kim Salmon in 1987 when he was living in Perth between the final two tours by The Scientists. When the Scientists stopped, Salmon continued the Surrealists as his main band while playing in Beasts of Bourbon. Biography Salmon formed the first lineup of the Surrealists in mid-1987, with Brian Henry Hooper on bass and Tony Pola on drums. He formed the band to record the album '' Hit Me with the Surreal Feel'', using minimalist lo-fi approaches to recording a basic trio: recording the band live with microphones around the studio capturing the entire sound rather than one instrument per track.
