Strudelbach
Strudelbach is a river of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Geography The source of the river is in the grounds of Weissach in Böblingen and flows in a narrow, northeasterly direction. It can reach a depth of 100m into the landscape Strudelbachtal. Between Weissach and Eberdingen, it crosses the border to the district of Ludwigsburg. After 15 km, it flows into the River Enz in Enzweihingen. In its course, it passes through the villages of Strudelbachhalle, Weissach, Eberdingen, Riet and Enzweihingen. It forms a natural border between Strohgäu and Heckengäu. History The documented history of Strudelback extends into the 4th Millennium BC and before. It was used as a transport stream and the water was used in mills and as an energy source. At least 10 mills have existed on the river, and at least two companies have continued to use its hydropower. Riet, Germany
Riet is a village in the town of Vaihingen an der Enz, Germany. The population is around 900, and it is about south of central Vaihingen. Geography Location Riet is located in a valley which runs in a south–north direction on the Strudelbach, a southern tributary of the Enz. While previously located near the center of the old district of Vaihingen, due to a district reform it is now on the western edge of the district of Ludwigsburg. Riet lies on the German Timber-Frame Road. Surroundings The nearest surrounding villages are Enzweihingen, Hochdorf an der Enz, Eberdingen, and Nußdorf. Enzweihingen is a village, part of the town of Vaihingen an der Enz, Germany. It has a population of 3,951 people (2021). A drainage basin is an area of land where all flowing surface water converges to a single point, such as a river mouth, or flows into another body of water, such as a lake or ocean. Heckengäu
The Heckengäu is a part of the Gäu, a region in the counties of Böblingen, Calw, Ludwigsburg and Enzkreis in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Part of the landscape in the county of Calw is called Schlehengäu. Hence it is also called the Hecken- und Schlehengäu. Location The Heckengäu lies west of the state capital of Stuttgart. It forms an elongated strip of land, over 50 km long, running from Vaihingen an der Enz in the north to Haiterbach in the south, and covers parts of the counties of Böblingen, Calw, Ludwigsburg and the Enzkreis. History The municipality of Eberdingen was created in 1975 by the merging of the municipalities of Eberdingen, Hochdorf an der Enz, and Nussdorf. Ludwigsburg
Ludwigsburg (; Swabian: ''Ludisburg'') is a city in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, about north of Stuttgart city centre, near the river Neckar. Vaihingen An Der Enz
Vaihingen an der Enz is a town located between Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, in southern Germany, on the western periphery of the Stuttgart Region. Vaihingen is situated on the river Enz, and has a population of around 30,000. The former district-capital is now part of the district of Ludwigsburg in the ''Land'' (state) of Baden-Württemberg. Böblingen
Böblingen (; Swabian German, Swabian: ''Beblenga'') is a town in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, seat of Böblingen (district), Böblingen District. Sindelfingen and Böblingen are Geographic contiguity, contiguous. History Böblingen was founded by Count Wilhelm von Tübingen-Böblingen in 1253. Württemberg acquired the town in 1357, and on 12 May 1525 one of the bloodiest battles of the German Peasants' War took place in Böblingen.
