Strobelite
"Strobelite" is a single by British virtual band Gorillaz, released on their fifth studio album ''Humanz''. It features guest vocals by Peven Everett. The single was released on 4 August 2017, with an accompanying music video released three days later. Music video The music video to "Strobelite" was released on 7 August 2017. It was created by Passion Pictures. The video is set in a dance club, featuring animated band members 2-D and Noodle dancing center stage amongst a crowd of clubgoers as collaborator Peven Everett sings from the sidelines. A combination of live-action and 3D CGI shots were used to create the video, much like the music video for Gorillaz' 2010 single " Stylo". Motion capture was utilized to animate the virtual band members. ''Humanz'' is the fifth studio album by British virtual band Gorillaz. It was released on 28 April 2017 in the United Kingdom by Parlophone and in the United States by Warner Bros. Records. The album was announced on the band's official Instagram page on 23 March 2017. "Sleeping Powder" is a song by British virtual band Gorillaz. The song and its accompanying music video were released on 8 June 2017 via YouTube, with a live debut occurring that same day. It was later released for streaming via Spotify and iTunes on 16 June 2017. Production "Sleeping Powder" was the first song to be recorded and released after the release of ''Humanz''. Through deliberate design (and in contrast to ''Humanz''), it doesn't feature any musical collaborators. Stylo (song)
"Stylo" is the first single from British virtual band Gorillaz's third studio album ''Plastic Beach''. The song features guest vocals from Bobby Womack and Mos Def. The single was released on 26 January 2010. Production Bobby Womack knew nothing about Gorillaz and was initially unsure about the collaboration; however, his granddaughter liked Gorillaz and convinced him to do it. Womack was told to sing whatever was on his mind during the recording of "Stylo". "I was in there for an hour going crazy about love and politics, getting it off my chest", said Womack. After an hour of recording, Womack, a diabetic, started to pass out. He was sat down and given a banana, before waking up minutes later. Stuart Harold "2-D" Pot is a fictional English singer, musician and member of the British virtual band Gorillaz. He provides the lead vocals and plays the keyboard for the band. 2-D's singing voice is provided by Blur frontman Damon Albarn on Gorillaz' recordings and performances; his speaking voice was provided by actor Nelson De Freitas in various Gorillaz direct-to-video projects such as '' Phase One: Celebrity Take Down'' and '' Phase Two: Slowboat to Hades''. Stephen Sedgwick is a British mix engineer best known for his work with Damon Albarn and Gorillaz. He is based at Studio 13 in West London. Career Stephen began his career in 2002 at London's Pierce Rooms. It was at Pierce Rooms in 2004, while working on the second Gorillaz studio album Demon Days, where Stephen first met Damon Albarn. In 2006, Damon invited Stephen to work at the first incarnation of Studio 13 and in 2010 Stephen was appointed Head Engineer at the current location near Ladbroke Grove.
