He directed 88 films in the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. Life Ceder was born on February 2, 1897 in Marinette, Wisconsin to Eugene Martin Ceder (1865–1924) and Petrea Christina (Jensen) Ceder (1869–1946), immigrants from Sweden and Denmark. He married several times: to Molly Moore or Horowitz in 1918, to Elizabeth Mceacharn in 1926, and to Jacquetta Calvin in 1931. He died on November 29, 1951 at Rose Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Ceder started making films in 1917, and he worked with Universal Studios and Paramount Pictures. Cissy Fitzgerald
Cissy Fitzgerald (born Mary Kate Kipping; 1 February 1873 – 10 May 1941) was an English-American vaudeville actress, dancer, and singer who appeared in numerous silent and sound films. Fitzgerald acted in a popular ''Gaiety Girl'' show beginning in 1894 and was filmed in the role in 1896 in a self-titled short film shot by Thomas Edison's film company. She did not appear in films again until 1914 where she signed with the Vitagraph company and was quite popular in feature films and her own series of ''Cissy'' short films. Very little of Fitzgerald's silent material survives except her comic backup role in the 1928 Lon Chaney vehicle ''Laugh, Clown, Laugh''. Fitzgerald claimed to have been the first woman in motion pictures, on 50 feet of film at the Edison labs in New Jersey in 1896. Frank Henry "Alf" Goddard (28 November 1897 in Brentford, Middlesex – 25 February 1981 in Ealing, London) was an English film actor. Brother of a famous boxer, Alf Goddard was once a boxer too. He was also a trained athlete and a professional dancer. He served in the army in World War I and when he was invalided out he worked on munitions. He made his stage debut in a musical hall act in 1916. His first appearance in films was as a stunt double where he did a number of risky jobs like jumping off bridges and swimming in rough seas.
