eMC is a hip hop crew composed of rappers Masta Ace, Wordsworth and Stricklin. Punchline was also a member, but he left the group in October, 2014. Biography Though not officially formed as a group until 2005, the crew came together in 2001 while touring together on Masta Ace's '' Disposable Arts'' tour. Ace described the group's formation in an interview with IllHillEast.com: Career In 2006, the group's first collaborative track was released online, titled "Four Brothers". eMC's first group effort, ''The Show'' was released on iTunes on February 26, and the CD release was on March 25. Masta Ace Incorporated was an American hip hop crew formed by rapper Masta Ace. History The group, also known as ''The I.N.C.'', included Eyceurokk (Eyce, Uneek and Rokkdiesel), Lord Digga, Paula Perry and R&B vocalist Leschea. Ace first gained notice in the rap world as a member of the legendary Juice Crew, and with the release of his acclaimed 1990 debut '' Take a Look Around'', which featured an appearance from Eyceurokk. In 1992, Ace formed the I.N.C. crew and recorded their first group album, ''SlaughtaHouse'', which was released in May 1993. Rawkus Records was an American hip hop record label known for starting the careers of many rappers. Rawkus started in 1995 with releases in hip-hop, drum and bass and fun-dustrial (Dystopia One). Label heads Brian Brater and Jarret Myer then signed some of the top underground talent from the New York area, notably Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Hi-Tek and Company Flow, who went on to define the label's sound. ''Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star'' (often called simply ''Black Star'') is the debut studio album by Black Star, a hip hop duo consisting of emcees Talib Kweli and Mos Def (the latter of whom now goes by Yasiin Bey). The album was released on September 29, 1998, to critical acclaim. The title is a reference to the Black Star Line, a shipping line founded by Pan-Africanist Marcus Garvey. Talib Kweli Greene (; born October 3, 1975) is an American rapper. He earned recognition early on through his collaboration with fellow Brooklyn rapper Mos Def in 1997, when they formed the group Black Star. Released on September 29, 1998, by Jive Records, it is a concept album, exploring the lyrical theme of love.
