Streetsville Derbys
The Streetsville Derbys were a Junior "A" ice hockey team from Streetsville, Ontario, Canada. They were a part of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in 2011 until they merged into the Cobourg Cougars. As of 2018 the Streetsville Hockey League have revived the Derbys name for their “Select” and house league divisions. History The Derbys began in 1967 as part of the Suburban Jr. C league. In 1970, they joined the new Mid-Ontario Jr. B league, and the following season the team joined the Central Jr. B league. The team was briefly renamed the Mississauga Derbys for the 1992-93 season. Streetsville claimed the Central Junior "B" Championship in 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1983, 1984 and 1986, as well as the 1979 Sutherland Cup as All-Ontario Champions. The Derbys were the hosts of the Royal Bank Cup 2006, the National Junior "A" Championship. At the end of the 2007 season, it was announced that the Derbys would be moving to a new location, Westwood Arena in Rexdale, Ontario. ...

Streetsville, Ontario
Streetsville (pop. 47,327) is a neighbourhood located in the northwestern corner of the city of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, on the Credit River. Although Streetsville occupies the west and east banks of the river, the majority is located on the west bank of the river. A town prior to the 1974 amalgamations that formed the City of Mississauga, it seeks to keep a "small town" charm by retaining a variety of historical buildings and streetscapes. As part of this attempt to maintain a separate identity from the larger city, the names of two main Mississauga streets, as they pass through Streetsville, retain the names they had when Streetsville was an independent village: List of roads in Mississauga#Mississauga Road, Mississauga Road and Bristol Road, which remain as Queen Street and Main Street respectively. Cobourg Cougars
The Cobourg Cougars are a junior ice hockey team from Cobourg, Ontario, Canada. They are a part of the East division of the Ontario Junior Hockey League, a member of the Canadian Junior Hockey League. The Cougars won the 2017 Royal Bank Cup national junior A championship. History The Cougars spent time in the Eastern Junior "B" league and the Central Junior C Hockey League before jumping to the Central Junior "B" league in 1992. The team graduated to Junior "A" when the league became the OPJHL the next season. In the summer of 2010, the Cobourg Cougars absorbed the Bowmanville Eagles. This move eliminated their local competition for players and local fan base. In March 2011, the Cougars also absorbed the Streetsville Derbys. The Cougars were chosen to host the 2017 Royal Bank Cup.
