''Streets of Compton'' is the soundtrack by American rapper the Game. It was released on June 17, 2016, by Blood Money Entertainment and eOne Music. The album features guest appearances from Problem, Boogie, J3, AD, Micah, Payso, and AV. It also has production from League of Starz, DeUno, Tone Mason, Bongo, Phonix, and Jelly Roll. The album is supported by the lone single, "Roped Off". Background ''Streets of Compton'' is a soundtrack album to support his show on A&E with the same name. It is a three-part documentary series that aired on June 9, 2016. The series feature interviews with several Compton residents and delve into Compton's recent past and attempt to explain how drugs, gangs, and political strife helped give birth to one Compton's rich musical and cultural history. Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979), better known by his stage name the Game or simply Game, is an American rapper. Born in Compton, California, he initially released a series of mixtapes under the wing of fellow West Coast rapper JT the Bigga Figga. After releasing his debut independent album '' Untold Story'' in 2004, he was eventually discovered by record producer Dr. Dre and signed to his Aftermath Records label imprint. The Game rose to fame in 2005 with the success of his major-label debut album ''The Documentary'' and found continued success with the 2006 follow-up ''Doctor's Advocate''. Jason L. Martin (born May 8, 1987), better known by his stage name Problem, is an American rapper, songwriter and record producer. He has released nineteen mixtapes in his career, the most recent being ''S2'', released 2018. His debut EP, '' Understand Me'', was released on December 10, 2013. He is best known for his single "Like Whaaat" and for featuring on E-40's "Function". Early life Problem was born in Würzburg, West Germany and grew up in Compton, California. He entered the industry by writing a verse for producer Terrace Martin, for a song called "Be Thankful", featured on Snoop Dogg's compilation album ''The Big Squeeze''.
