Strebers
Strebers was one of the most influential punk bands from Sweden, formed in Strängnäs in 1985. Songs were conceived by drummer Johnny Rydh, who whistled melodies to guitarist Mikael "Ulke" Johansson. Johansson then in turn translated the harmonies to electric guitar. His distinctive guitar sound played a major role in Strebers' songs, which were a mix of punk rock and Swedish folk music, while Rydh wrote most of the lyrics. Rydh's death Following Rydh's death in a car crash in 1992, the remaining members disbanded Strebers, as they felt they could not continue under the old name without Rydh. Johansson and bassist Blomberg then formed Dia Psalma Dia Psalma was a self-described punk/folk rock/metal fusion band, from Strängnäs, Sweden. Dia Psalma
Dia Psalma was a self-described punk/folk rock/metal fusion band, from Strängnäs, Sweden. It was formed by former members of Strebers that started in 1985 (and played as Sixguns for a while). Dia Psalma was formed shortly after Johnny, drummer and main lyrics writer in Strebers was killed in a car crash. After his death in 1992 Ulke (guitar and vocals) and Ztikkan (bass) recorded a final Strebers album called ''Till En Vän'' (To A Friend) with Solbjörn (a drum machine). Rosa Honung
Rosa Honung is a record company started in the early 1980s and focused on punk rock. Rosa Honung existed as a cultural association in the 1970s before being registered as a company. They are notable both for their roster and their feud with Asta Kask where the record company trademarked their name. Rosa Honung also tried to become a publisher to rival STIM. Rosa Honung published records with artists such as Asta Kask, Rolands Gosskör, Tredje Könet, Weaselface, Strebers, Livin' Sacrifice, The Bristles and Incest Brothers as well jazz musicians such as Jan Johansson and Lars Gullin. Strängnäs
Strängnäs is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Strängnäs Municipality, Södermanland County, Sweden with 15,363 inhabitants in 2020. It is located by Lake Mälaren and is the episcopal see of the Diocese of Strängnäs, one of the thirteen dioceses of the Church of Sweden. Prominently located on a hilltop, Strängnäs Cathedral, built between 1291 and 1340, is an important landmark. Etymology The city's name is first encountered in 1120, in reference to the Diocese.
